Duke Dermail
Feh, Dermail is an idiot. He is a power-hungry dictator wanna-be who�s only purpose is to make Treize�s good points stand out more. In other words he is a foil for Treize and he does that job quite well before getting killed. (And lo, the masses did cheer at Dermail�s death. The fangirls did chorus �Treize-sama is the best!�)
As far as relationships go, Treize seems to respect Dermail in a general sort of way but nothing more. Dermail is Treize�s superior when Treize is part of the Romefeller foundation and in Treize�s way of thinking that would garner at least a tiny bit of respect. However, I get the feeling that Treize respected the position rather than the man himself. The fact that Treize doesn�t like Dermail as a person is proved by the fact that Dermail isn�t one of the people mentioned in his final scene when he is listing the various people who have died. Hell, he mentions Otto and Walker, both of whom died near the beginning of the series and weren�t all that important. But no Dermail, and probably with good reason since Dermail is the antithesis of all that Treize is.
