As a chick living in Lexington, I'm usually a pretty rabid UK fan. 
My 'Cats can usually do no wrong. . .but for the past two years. . it seems as though all they've been doing, is wrong! It is not, however, the fault of the players, but of the coach.
Re'tard (as I so fondly call him) doesn't appear to know the first thing about coaching. Granted, under him, my Boyz won a National Championship last year, but it wasn't because of great coaching skills, it was because of the wonderful and outstanding amount of talent we had on our team.
YOUR TURN
What are my problems with Tubby? Hmm, taking this year alone, my major problem is he still has this washed up idea that his son, Stupid, can actually play basketball. So Saul can hit an occassional 3 pointer. A 29% shooting percentage is NOT a positive statistic, no matter what his daddy tells him. Yes, I will admit Stupid does make a lot of steals; however he also turns the ball right back over; so what good is a steal if he's handing it back to the other team?
Also, look at how long it took Re'tard to get a set rotation going. We're nearing the halfway mark of the season and he still doesn't have a solid set rotation. This is not good for the team, for how can they develop chemistry when they never know who's going to be on the floor with them?
And the free-throw shooting. . . since the very first game in the pre-season, Tubby has said that he wants the team as a whole to work on their free-throw percentage, but it still remains one of the lowest percentages in the SEC.
The teams we loose to, too, aren't of the highest quality. I can handle loosing to Duke, they're an awesome team. . .but to Louisville, and an unranked Tennessee team? C'mon. Only scoring 46 points in 40 minutes is a shame. But hey, Stupid did get a lot of playing time. Tubby continuously drags the quality of the team down by allowing his third rate son play. Stupid doesn't really have what it takes to be a UK player.
Which brings me to one of my final points. . .players. Tubby continously refuses to play talented players in lieu of his son. Last year it was Cameron Mills, this year it's Ryan Hogan, Todd Tackett, and a whole slew of others.
What UK needs, is either for Rick Pitino to return, or for Billy Donovan, the Head Coach of Florida and one of Rick's protege's (who also happens to be a whole lot more like Rick than Re'tard is) to come to Kentucky. And for Tubby to leave!!!.
I'd like to wish my 'boyz (the players) Good luck in the rest of the Season; hopefully they'll be able to overcome the challenges Tubby has cast at them to become National Champions again!. GO CATS!!!
