Birth Changed the name, added some chapters, is there anyone out there? By the way, reviews are welcome but flames are cherished. I see flames as a challenge. *gets out katana, tosses potato in the air, and slices it into thin curly fries* She slices, she dices, she makes julian fries and now she'd like a little bit of fire to cook them with. Okay, now I've got a few things to clear up. My solitary review for this fic so far is a flame. Not that I don't like flames it's... well... I just got one review? Oh well, maybe this will inspire some of you to at least start leaving something. As for the stuff in the fic I need to clear up. Piccolo and Gohan dated two years ago, they are not dating now, (they might fool around a little until like two seperate stories into this thing but...*smirks*). Piccolo coughed up an egg around the same time Pan was conceived (I don't know, maybe Videl's hormone imbalance threw off Piccolo's). When Gohan jerked Piccolo's arm it made him drop the egg. An egg that has a nearly ready to hatch Namekian in it is gonna make a crunching sound, not a splat, when it hits tile. Piccolo, Gohan, and Videl live in the same house but Piccolo has a seperate room. Piccolo is currently trying to strangle Gohan because he thinks the demi-Saiyan has just killed his son (abiet it was an accident but tell that to an emotional Z-fighter). Well, hopefully that cleared some stuff up. Yeah, yeah, I don't own DBZ or it would be very confusing and full of shounen ai relationships. Oh, and Ivy, thanks again for letting me MST the week end. *********************************************************************** "Piccolo, no," Goku cried as he bound across the room and tried to pry the angry Namek off of Gohan. "He killed my son," Piccolo sobbed as his rational side slowly ebbed in. He dropped his hands from around Gohan's neck and raised them to his own face as he tried to choke back sobs, "He killed my son!" "I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to! Oh Piccy, I'm so sorry! If I could only make this right," Gohan cried. Goku stood aside, dumbfounded, trying in vain to figure a way to comfort his son and his son's house mate/ best friend/ former boyfriend. Gohan and Piccolo stood in the middle of the waiting room wailing into each other's shoulders over the loss of a life not yet born. During this whole time ChiChi had been sitting across the room trying not to add to the growing scene. She finally gave in to her mothering instinct and started to walk over to the trio. A small movement near the men caught her attention. The egg was shaking, the spider web cracks, created from the drop, were becoming more defined and the sides were starting to bulge. "Hey guys, I don't think it's over yet," she said in awe as a tiny green fist peirced the egg shell from the inside. With in seconds the egg was nothing but mere fragments and in its place sat a tiny newborn Namek "He's alive," Piccolo happily gushed as he quickly removed himself from Gohan's embrace so that he could scoop up the tiny form. Gohan smiled in relief as he stared at the new father and son. Piccolo rummaged through his satchel and produced a towel, a blanket, and an empty bottle. He gently cleaned off the baby and wrapped him closely in the blanket. He found a water fountain and, after checking the clarity and temperature, filled the empty bottle. He cradled the baby and tilted the bottle back to allow the little one to drink. "Aren't you just the sweetest..... what the..," Piccolo cried as the baby oppened its eyes for the first time, batting them softly at its father. "What's the matter," Gohan asked. He couldn't see a thing wrong with the little Namek, then again he only had the father and Dende to compare it to. It had four tiny toes on each foot, with a space where the toe after the big toe would have been if it had been human. Its markings were all where they should be. It had the cutest little fangs, which it showed off as it yawned, and antennas. And its eyes. He shuddered. Its eyes were....... "Purple, his eyes are purple," Gohan said in shock. He had never seen a Namek with eyes any other color than ebony. The baby gurgled and batted his a fore mentioned eyes innocently. A tiny cry filled the next room and broke the stiffling silence. The cry meant that yet another new life had finally entered the world, and this time the child was Gohan's. "Mr. Son," the doctor said as he walked out of the birthing room, a larger smile than should have been possible was on his face," Congratulations, you have one of the cutest little girls to ever have been born in this hospital." "Can we see her now," Gohan asked as he tried to keep his excitement in check. "Only two at a time. They've both been through quite an ordeal," the doctor replied. Gohan's grin spread like a cheshire cat's as he grabbed Piccolo and headed for the room. Videl lay on the bed, her face flushed but full of pride and her hair mussed and plastered by sweat to her forehead. She held a small bundle to her as if it were the most precious thing that ever could have existed. In a ways, it was. "Hey, would you look at that, it hatched,"she laughed weakly as she finally took notice of the child in Piccolo's arms, who was currently trying to suck on one of his father's fingers. "He," Piccolo jerked his head torwards Gohan, "dropped the egg," Piccolo said in an almost palyful hiss. Gohan hung his head sheepishly. "Let me see him," Videl said as she extended her free arm. Piccolo pulled back a little and held his son tight. He contemplated it for a moment and then reluctantly handed over his precious son. The tiny girl in Videl's arm exchanged stares with the green boy that had just been recently placed in her mother's free arm. Slowly, and in sync, they cooed and waved at each other, never once breaking their stare as ebony eyes met lavender. "Is it just me or does anyone else feel like those two have just started something that'll never completely be finished," Gohan spoke, the uneasiness in his voice splitting the air like a knife. Both babies turned and giggled at him, something he couldn't place was dancing in their young eyes. "You may have a point," Videl said as she noticed the look in the childrens' eyes, "but what are we going to call our little trouble makers?" "I'm naming him after the Namek I fused with, Dende's older brother, Nail," Piccolo said as he touched the baby's cheek softly. Nail giggled and grabbed ahold of his father's finger. "Well," Videl sighed a she held her daughter up, "does she look like a Patricia, an Amy, or a Nikky to you? We just can't decided." "How about just calling her Pan," Piccolo said off handedly as he picked up Nail and began feeding his son again. "What a great idea," Videl exclaimed, her eyes shining bright, "Pan-chan, oh what a perfect name for her!" "Well then," Gohan said as he stared at the two "mothers", "Welcome to the world, Pan and Nail, we've been waiting for you." 1
