| Rosemary's Diary first formed in early 1999 in Moultrie Georgia, and quickly begain writting songs and practicing up to 3 times a week! "We wanted to get our material as tight as we could before we even thought about going out and performing" says the band. The band started out with a style of music that could be compared to such bands as Dave Matthew's Band, Chasing Furies among others, however maintaining an original sound. The band released their first CD in 2001, an 8-song EP containing mostly the early stuff from the band. Since that time the band has redefined and matured their overall sound, now leaning towards the Indie Rock genere but also maintaining a somewhat acoustic base. The band continues to write songs dealing with everday life, love and spritural themes. Rosemary's Diary is a band that wants to share Christ in a blantant yet reverent manner. God has been and will always be the focal point of Rosemary's Diary. We want to be a light in a sometime dark world. Rosemary's Diary strives to write and play the best music they can possibly make, and will continue to mature as a band. The band recently recorded a new 5-song EP that will be out near Spring 2002. |
