Mary Fisher
- Marriage: Richard Harper on 17 May 1787 in Wingfield, Wiltshire
General Notes:
EXPLANATION OF RESEARCH - carried out by Jean (another Harper descendant) in Australia
Baptism details from this time give very few details. All the children are listed as children of Richard & Mary Harper and fit very nicely with a two year gap between children. BUT there were two couples by that name in the village.
Richard Harper (weaver) married Mary Fisher 17 May 1787 and Richard Harper (horsedealer) married Mary Rogers 20 November 1788
then
Mary, wife of Richard Harper was buried 22 July 1794 and Richard Harper (wid) married Ann Baily (spinster) 13 December 1794
Signature shows that it was Richard the horsedealer whose wife died
Signatures also indicate that James Harper (one of the children listed) was probably the son of Richard the weaver and so it is this line which has been which has been tracked back.
If you have any information to the contrary, please contact me at the address shown on the home page.
