E.R.: So what I discovered from this was that there was something inside of that gold foil that was deflecting some of the positve alpha particals. I dereived that most matter of an atom is found in its nucleus, while the rest is mostly empty space, which proves why only 2% of the time the particals deflected. I estimated that the diamter of an atom is about 10 to the negative 8th power cm, and the diamter of its nucleus is 10 to the negative 13th power cm. This information was a tremendous breakthrough which I won the Nobel Prize for, although I am the only recipient of this Prize to complete my greatest work, the gold foil experiment, after recieving the prize!
L.R.: Thank you very much Mr. Rutherford. No more further questions your honor.

* After some more long and tedious court sessions the jury has its verdict*

The Jury: The jury finds the defendent innocent of the crime of not being influencial and important to the discovery of the interior of an atom.
