Taken Beauty
How is it I feel this?
What has entered my body so abruptly?
This invading sensation I have given no permission to trespass
I sense something around you
A glow that escapes your skin
And enters mine
I illuminate with a presence of love
A rose in its green sea
The sun in its endless abyss
I now know,
These things took their beauty
From love
I slowly look into your windows
To see certain rooms of your soul
My heart is like a room,
But now has all its doors open
To you
Good-bye to all that is lonely
I have another that will protect me from all that is dark
I need only to look in your eyes
To see everything I will ever care for.
