I know Cal isn't the favorite in the movie but I wanted to change the story around, what if Rose actually fell in love with Cal? And her and Cal actually got to be together and the ship didn't hit the iceberg, and Ruth is still mean and stuck up, and Cal stands up for Rose against her mother and what her mother wants. And Rose learns Cal's story of his father, and what happened and they fall in love getting to know each other and Molly helps Ruth see how they do love each other at dinner, and Ruth changes her ways or so we thought? I just wanted to see how this story would turn out as I write it :) 

Update: May 31st, 2019 ~ I'm actually enjoying writing this story already, I almost can't stop lol. :)

Chapter 1: "I'll still be first."



"Just think that tonight when we get to go to bed, I'll be the first!" Trudy said excitedly feeling the brand new sheets. Rose smiles and laughs and Cal is by the door drinking his whine, "Tonight I'll still be the first." He smiles at Trudy nudging himself for her to leave and then Trudy says "Exscuse me miss." Rose looks at him, he sets his whine glass down on her vanity, Rose puts her arms around him, "Of course, you'll still and always be the first darling." Rose then kisses him, and he turns the kiss into a more passionate one, they stop kissing, "Cal, I'm suprised by that kiss, it's not just because of the whine is it?" "No, sweetheart, why?" "Honestly, I wasn't sure that you really loved me in that way, I thought you were always stuck up at first, but now it's like you've changed, you're opening up to me." "Darling, I was just showing off in front of your mother, but now I want to show off our love in front of her. I know she loves having her arm in mine too, but I want us to show our love." "I do too, at first honestly I didn't think this was love, I still felt alone and trapped inside." "Darling, I'm so sorry you felt that way." Cal then takes off his jacket throws it in the chair, and puts his hand gently on her neck, and Rose wraps her arms around his shoulders, they kiss again, "Knock knock." Lovejoy opens the door, looking in, "Oh, I'm sorry." "It's okay Mr. Lovejoy." Cal says smiling and laughing looking at Rose, as Rose is smiling. "Sir, it's time for the afternoon lunch." "Okay, we'll be right there." Cal looks at Rose, and they hear the door close, "Cal, I'm so sorry." Rose says, "For what darling?" "For thinking those things about you and thinking that this wasn't real love. Now I feel it, you've opened me up to what I couldn't see, it's like love at first sight." Cal smiles, Cal then takes Roses hand and kisses it, Rose smiles and blushes, "Darling, change into your clothes for lunch and we'll see each other in a bit, I'll wait for you in your room." "Okay sweetheart." Cal's about to leave, just then Rose says, "Cal." Cal turns around, Rose comes up to him puts her arms around his neck and kisses him, and he kisses her in return, they both share a moment more together before changing clothes. "I love you." Rose says still wanting to kiss him more. "I love you too Rose. I really do." Cal says touching her face not wanting to let her go.



"We'll have this Rose, oysters, and shrimp and ham." Ruth her mother says, "Oh let her order what she wants to order." Cal says outloud not even thinking just saying it, caring so much about Rose, and seeing that her mother doesn't. "What?" Ruth says shockingly, even Molly and Thomas and everyone else is shocked, they've never seen Cal like this before. "I'll have everything but the oysters and shrimp." Rose says as she hands her lunch menu to the waiter. "Thank you sir." Rose says smiling, "You're welcome Miss." "Call me Rose." "Rose." The waiter smiles and walks away and Cal looks at Rose and Rose looks at him, and they both smile at each other, with love in their eyes, Cal brings his foot to Rose's foot under the table quietly, Rose moves her foot over back at his returning the move. Molly looks at both him and Rose, "Two young people in love, that's so beautiful!" Rose and Cal still look at each other, Cal looks at Molly, "Yes ma'am Miss Molly, we're in love." Rose then says, "I'll be right back, I need some fresh air." "Alright." Cal says, "Have fun sweetheart." Rose touches his shoulder as she leaves, not even looking at her mother. Cal wants to look at Rose as she walks away but doesn't want to draw attention with everyone else looking. "Cal, you're a good man to Rose." Molly says eating her grape. "Thank you Mrs. Brown." Cal replies. Ruth is still upset that Cal did that, and shocked, Cal looks at Ruth but Ruth turns away.

Rose goes out on deck, just to get some fresh air, she holds her arms out not caring what the other passengers think. Cal then comes up behind her, "Darling, are you enjoying the fresh air?" Rose turns around smiling at him, "Yes, I am." "You don't care what people think of you do you?" "No." "They're all looking at you but here, let me join you." Cal holds his arms out like Rose besides her, and feels the wind through him, like a little child, "Rose, you are helping me to find myself as well darling." "I am?" "Yes." "You are helping me to set myself free from who you thought I was, and help me to find my inner child as well that I never got to have growing up because my father, had made me already try to be so much like an adult, and he was abusive to me, nobody else knew it not even mother." "I couldn't let her know because it would break her heart and to think she loved him." "I'm so sorry Rose, you thought that about me, I guess I was just trying to be what my father still wanted me to be." "Just like what my mother is doing to me." Rose realizes she then lets her arms down, and almost crying, having some tears come down, Cal looks at her, puts his arms down, "Rose, why are you crying?" "We both have so much in common and I didn't know it, I'm so sorry. I know I keep saying I'm so sorry but I can't help myself, and I'm in love with you Cal." "Rose, I'm in love with you, I have been since the first moment I saw you. I thought you were so beautiful, you shined, and you are more beautiful than your mother, your mother honestly, isn't a nice lady, she's rude and mean and selfish, even to me she's been like that, I just tried to ignore it and just push it off." "I didn't notice you tried to do that, I thought you were just like her." Rose says, "Nope, I'm no where near like her." "Is that so?" they hear her voice behind them, Cal and Rose turn around, "It is Mother!" Rose raises her voice, Cal doesn't do or say anything just lets Rose take control, other people are looking but they don't care but Ruth does, "My Children let's go inside, and talk about this, not out here where people can see." "No mother! let them see the real you!" "ROSE!" Ruth grabs her by the arm, and makes her walk back inside to the room. Rose looks back at Cal with a worried look, Cal stays there frozen for abit not sure what to do, and others are still looking at him. Cal then goes and Ruth and her mother are in the hallway then in the room, Ruth sits Rose down, "Now we're going to pretend like this didn't happen." Ruth is right in Rose's face, Rose is trying to look away knowing her mother's evil look. "Stop!" Cal comes in, "Ruth, stop!" "Cal, what's gotten into you!" Ruth yells at him. "You've gotten in me and what my father did to me for a long time!" "I'm not letting you or him control me, or letting you control Rose anymore!" "I'm in love with your daughter and we are getting married not just because you want us to but because we want to!" Cal yells. Mr. Lovejoy then walks in, and is puzzled as to what's going on but he doesn't say anything just stands by the fire place watching, "Lovejoy, it's alright, I'm just letting Ruth know me and Rose are in love, and we are marrying not just because she wants us to, but because we want to." "I had no idea but I knew something wasn't right, I'm you and Rose are standing up for what you both really want, I could feel Rose distancing herself from you at first, but then now I see you two showing your love to each other, real love, I was stuck up myself at first, but now I see Rose is changing you for the better sir, and it's helping me to open up as well and be a better man to enjoy life more." "That's right." Rose says smiling at Lovejoy. Ruth is still not happy, "Fine, if that's the way you both want it, so be it, I want nothing to do with this relationship anymore. I'll go to the dinners with you all, and particapate, but other than that, nothing. When the ship docks, I am going on my own." "I'll give you money Ruth to live on until you get on your own feet, but that's it!" Cal says, "Unless you change, and become like us, you'll never really see what life is really like." Ruth's eyes are hardened, she's wanting to actually cry, but she stays her hardened heart.  Ruth leaves, not saying another word.

Chapter 2: "Dinner."




 

"Rose, I'll meet you at the bottom of the grand stair case when you come down to dinner." Cal says to Rose in her bedroom, as they shared a moment alone. Rose changed into her night gown just to rest before dinner. "Rose, you look so beautiful!" "I have something for you." Cal says. "I was going to save it for the engagement gailer next week but I thought...." Cal opens the black box and it's the heart of the ocean necklace. "Good gracious!" Rose says putting her hand on it, "Is it a diamond?" "Diamond, yes." Cal says smiling, he's sitting on top of her vanity, with her music box still playing not minding music playing. Cal takes the necklace out in a hurry to put it on her, he puts it around her neck, Rose used to hate people especially Cal when he used to buy her things, knowing he was all about rich stuff, but this time she knew it was love and it was love all along Rose just couldn't see it or feel it. She felt trapped and alone at first but now with Cal being a different person, opening up to her more, she was falling in love with him. Rose's hand goes over the necklace heart, "It's overwhelming." "Rose, there's nothing I couldn't give you,  and there's nothing I would deny, if you would not deny me, oh, open your heart to me Rose." "Darling, I already have." Rose kisses him as he's next to her looking at her, he kisses her back, putting his hand in her lap moving his hand up to her neck, and she wraps her left arm around his shoulders, and he moves to kissing her neck, and her hands move to his head, running her fingers through his hair. "Cal." "Yes." he says still kissing her neck, "We have to get ready for dinner now darling." "I don't want to." Cal says like a child not wanting to go. "Rose..." he says looking at her now face to face, "Yes darling?" "You've already opened me up so much into this new person I am now, I admit I was stuck up before, but only to show off in front of your mother, what I really wanted to do was love you, but your mother just wanted me and to have this arranged marriage between us, I'm so sorry Rose, I didn't love you sooner, or show you that I loved you." Cal says gently touching her face, kissing her again, Rose keeps kissing him not wanting to break the kiss but Cal stops, "It's alright darling, all that matters now is that we love each other and we're going to be together forever." Rose says smiling, Cal kisses her again on the lips, but stops quick because of dinner, "Alright sweetheart." he says touching her face again not wanting to stop, "We have to get ready for dinner for real this time." "Darling, can I wear the necklace you gave me to dinner?" "Of course sweet heart. We can show your mother our love." Cal says. "Of course." Rose says smiling, this time she kisses him, they pull away from the kiss knowing to get ready for dinner, "I love you." Cal says, "I love you too, now we both have to really  get ready." Rose says. "Oh yes, if not they'll be coming up looking for us wondering what we're doing." Rose blushes, "It's too late for that, we've already been..." Cal puts his finger to her lips, "That's between us." "Alright, I'll see you in abit darling." Cal says this time getting up and leaving. Rose doesn't say anything just looks at the heart of the ocean still amazed by it, and the beauty, and the love in it that he does have for her.

  

As I'm waiting for her, I'd wait forever for her if I had to, that's how much I love her, Cal thinks to himself. There she is, she's so beautiful, she always is but tonight there's something about her, it's that I love her and I want to really tell her that I love her, and show her, I will show her tonight, I'll suprise her by taking her on deck and we can look out at the stars, like nothing else matters around us and I can tell her and show her. Cal doesn't say anything as Rose walks down the stairs, he just stares at her beauty, from the inside out, Rose smiles the entire time and a big smile, and he's already making her laugh, "I saw that in the Nickelodeon once and I always wanted to do it." He says after kissing her hand, and then acts all top notch and puts his neck up and smiles, Rose laughs, and Cal looks at her smiling laughing too, and he even dances alittle, Rose is shocked actually to see him do that in front of people, th people to look but he doesn't care, the Countess people look at Cal strange whispering about him, "What? Ya'll can't dance?" Cal says looking at them, Rose is shocked he told them that. They then walk away arm in arm to the dinner table, Ruth was already there but she sat on the other side by Molly across from them, Molly knows that they've been having trouble since that day at lunch. Cal helps Rose by pulling out the chair to help her sit down, he puts his hand gently on her shoulder, "Thank you darling." Rose says,  she puts her hand on his hand on her shoulder. "You're welcome." He whispers in her ear. Ruth looks at them with a smerck look, and looks down at her plate. Molly whispers to Ruth, "You gotta get over this Ruth!" Ruth just looks at Molly, "They're really in love, and you don't want to not see them anymore, or see your future grandchildren one day." Ruth then looks over at them, as she is seeing how Rose and Cal are in love and the way they're looking at each other and the way she did it to marry them was wrong. "Molly, you're right." Ruth whispers. "I've been childish." "I've got to let them know tonight how I feel the new way though how I feel." "Ruth, everything is going to be okay, just take time to see how they love each other and let that love soften your heart." Molly says gently. Ruth looks down at her lap but tries to look up so no one will notice, but Rose notices, she looks over at Molly talking to her mother, and  wonders what they're talking about but she pry guesses at it, she knows how Molly is. Molly has always been the nice one and so has Thomas Andrews, Molly has made her laugh and been a friend to her, when mother was so rude that time, she just put on a fake smile to Molly, but Rose loved Molly.  




"Your ship is a wonder Mr. Andrews truly." "Thank you Rose." Thomas replies to Rose smiling. Rose then looks at Cal and Cal smiles, and looks at Mr. Andrews, "Your ship really is a wonder Mr. Andrews, Rose and I adore this ship so much, it's so beautiful." "Thank you Mr. Hockley, thank you Miss Rose." Thomas says to them smiling. They eat dinner, and Molly tells a funny story that has everyone laughing, and they continue eating, and talking, then one of the guys stands up, "Anyone for a Brandy now gentlemen?" Rose laughs and smiles at how he says brandy. "Cal, are you coming sir?" "No, I think I'll walk on the deck with Rose, get some fresh air." "Okay, suit yourself." The guys walk away whispering suprisingly that Cal would rather be with his woman than them like he normally did. Rose looks at Cal smiling and he smiles at her, making Rose now blush. Cal gets up, and helps Rose up out of her chair, and he takes her on deck, and they're walking and he starts singing "Come Josephine in my flying machine..." "Going up she goes, up she goes..." Rose continues and they sing together then he grabs her around the waist, dancing with her singing with her. They stop, and Rose looks at him, touching his face, wanting to kiss him, but doesn't want to do it on deck in case anyone else sees, and there was a guy mopping the deck. "Rose, look..." Cal says looking up, and pointing to the sky, "A shooting star." Cal says excitedly, heading over to lean on the rope, Rose joins him, and his arm goes around her, and she looks at him, "Aren't we supposed to wish on it?" "Why what'd you wish for?" "Something I already have, and something I want for the rest of my life." Rose smiles at him, and he smiles at her, and kisses her, he doesn't care who sees. Cal stops kissing her, "Honey, aren't you worried of who might see? You know how first class people are about this stuff, it's supposed to be private." "When it comes to my love for you, I don't care what anyone thinks not even your mother anymore." Cal says smiling at her. Rose smiles back at him, wanting to cry, he touches her face gently and kisses her again then stops, "Rose, there's a party in third class, instead of going to the room already, would you like to go dance with me?" "You dance?" Rose said forgetting he danced alittle earlier but she thought he was joking. "Yeah, I do. I even draw." "What?" "I draw scenary photos and landscapes. I've drawn people before too but of course with clothes on, like when they're out in the scenary that I'm drawing, I even drew Lovejoy one time, he's never told anyone either, he knew my past, and I look up to him almost like a father figure best friend type of guy. I have done abit of photography before too but never got too far with that, so I stuck with drawing. It's a way for me to express myself and how I feel, and a way to escape my past, but you've helped me to do that so much." Rose then touches his face gently, and kisses him not caring what other people think. "Cal, let's go dance." They both take each other's hands, and go to third class dance room, they are having fun dancing and drinking, Rose then is sitting there at the table drinking and thinking, "Wait, how did he know this party in third class?" "Hello, I'm Jack Dawson." Jack comes up to Rose, after dancing with Cora. "Hello Mr. Dawson." Rose isn't sure what to think of this guy, where's Cal. Cal was on the floor dancing. Cal then comes over to where Rose and Jack are, "Rose, this is Jack." "Jack, yes we met already, how do you know him honey?" Rose says showing her ring so Jack knows. "We met on deck one night when I went out to the stern, and I needed to get some fresh air from your mother, she was literally driving me crazy that night!" "Oh okay." Rose says still not sure what to think of this man Jack. "Jack is an artist too like me only he draws people with clothes off lets just say." Cal whispers it to Rose so no one else hears. "Oh okay." Rose says smiling interested in that kind of art, wondering if Cal would do that art with her maybe?

"Rose, come dance with me?" Cal says, "What?" Cal grabs Rose's hand and brings her to him, and Jack goes back to dancing with Cora, "Cal, I don't know the steps to dance." "Neither do I just go with me." Cal and Rose start dancing and Rose laughs and so does Cal. They go up on stage, and Jack is there too, Rose and Cal are both watching Jack doing his dance, and Cal is dancing like Jack and Rose takes off her shoes hands them to the lady that takes them for her and dances like Jack and Cal. Then Cal and Rose are spinning around holding each others hands, and Rose says "Cal no." "Ahhhh." Cal says smiling and laughing. "Ahhhh." Rose says as shes really smiling and laughing. They then stop, and go get a drink and Jack goes with them, and then "So, think you're big tough men?" Rose says taking one of the guys cigarettes out of his mouth into hers, as they were watching them arm wrestle, "Hold this for me Cal, hold it up." Cal holds her dress up for her and she brings her arms up and gets on her toes all the way up. She then is saying "Owww." and drops down, and falls into Cal's arms, and she's laughing, crying cos it hurt but laughing because of so much fun, "Rose, I can't believe you did that!" "I haven't done that in years!" Rose says looking at him still holding her. Wanting to touch his face and kiss him so bad at that moment, she just does it anyway, she touches his face and kisses him, and Cal kisses her back holding her more and the people cheer again for them, including Jack. They stop kissing, and then they look at them, Cal says, "Thank you all." After awhile of partying, it's after midnight, and Cal says, "Rose, we need to get back to the room." "Okay darling." Rose says, "Goodnight Jack." Cal and Rose both say, "Goodnight you two, thanks for coming Cal, and it was so nice to meet you Rose, Cal has talked nothing but about you, he's a lucky guy." Rose smiles, "It's nice to meet you too Mr. Dawson." "Jack." "Jack." Rose says smiling then looks at Cal smiling. "Shall we?" Cal says, "We shall." Rose links her arm in with his as they go back to the room.



Chapter 3: I was expecting ya'll last night...

They're having breakfast on the promenade the next morning with Ruth, and Ruth says, "I was expecting ya'll last night." "We were both tired." "I saw you both come in after midnight!" "What were you doing?" Ruth yells! She was wanting to give them a second chance, but now her heart has hardened even more because of this. "I can see you both think I am annoying, and don't want me around, and want to get away from me, I heard you both last night on deck, I came to see you both but I was quiet because I didn't want to interupt." Ruth confesses. "You were spying mother!" Rose yells. "Mother, I've had it that's it, you've done this before to me, and when it was me and Father, you walked in our conversations. You always thought everyone is against you. It's with the way you are mother. Cal and I don't want you in our lives anymore." "What?" Ruth says. Cal then looks at Rose, and Rose at Cal, "That's right Ruth. I'll still give you money to live off on, but that's it. No more interupting our lives, when we're married you'll have to be on your own anyways." "I'm tired of restraints mother, and this is the end of them all!" Rose says. Rose is about to get up and walk out, but then before Rose gets up Ruth gets up, and Rose sits back down across from Cal, Ruth glares an evil glare at her daughter, "Fine, I won't ever change for the both of you all! And Cal, if you didn't know, Rose is pregnant." "What?" Cal has that look of what on his face. Rose is even shocked, but she's felt it for a week now, and told her mother last week, thought she could trust her with her secret. Ruth leaves the room, and Cal looks at Rose and goes on the other side by Rose puts his arms around her gently, "Rose darling, is this true?" "Yes darling. I've been sick with this for a week already and I haven't had my woman's cycle yet." Rose says looking at him gently. "Rose, why didn't you tell me?" "I was scared, I didn't know what you would say." Rose says looking down, Cal gently lifts her chin, "Rose darling, I would say it's wonderful amazing you're pregnant and we have alittle one coming. I'm amazed you did all that dancing last night with the baby inside." "I was careful, that's why also I didn't want to dance because of the baby, but I did and I had fun." Rose smiles, Cal kisses Rose. "I'm going to be a father!" Cal yells excitedly!! He gets up. "We have to have a baby shower for you." "Cal, let's not get ahead of ourselves just yet, I'm only a week pregnant, we have time sweetheart." "You're right." Cal kneels back down beside her touching her stomach, "Hey little one in there, I'm your father." Rose smiles as he says that and touches her belly. "We have to tell everyone tonight at dinner Rose so they all know." "Yes we do honey." Rose says smiling at him and Cal smiling at her, and then Cal kisses her, and has his arm around her close to him.

"Darling." Rose says looking at him, "We have to get ready for church now." "Yes we do sweetheart." Cal kisses Rose and Miss Trudy walks in, afraid shes going to get yelled at for walking in on them, Cal and Rose look at Miss Trudy, "I'm sorry Miss." Trudy says. "Oh Miss Trudy, don't go, you are the first we want to tell, Mother already knows I told her secretly thinking she would keep it between us. But we're pregnant, Miss Trudy, would you be the honor and be the Aunt of our baby?" "Of course Miss Rose!" Trudy hugs Rose so excitedly, and Rose slowly gets up, "Oh let me help you Miss." "It's okay Trudy, thank you." Rose says smiling. Cal and Rose and Trudy all walk out together, "Miss Trudy would you like to join us for church and lunch this afternoon?" "Of course Miss Rose." "Call me Rose." Rose says smiling and Trudy smiles, "You both can call me Trudy." "You can call me Cal, Trudy." Cal also says smiling excited that he's going to be a father. "Alright, darling, Trudy's going to help me get ready and I'll be ready soon." "Okay darling." Cal kisses her on the forhead and hugs her before leaving.

"Everyone we have news!" Cal says tapping his whine glass getting everyones attention, at lunch after Church. "We're having a baby!" "What?!" The first class people all look at them, because they are thinking, "A baby before marriage?" Even Ruth has that look on her across the table by Molly, "A baby before marriage, how digusting!" Ruth thinks and has an evil look on her. Molly just rolls her eyes not even trying to talk to Ruth this time. Thomas Andrews says Congratulations though to them both, he sits by them every time for dinner and lunch, and Molly even said Congratulations, not caring what the other people thought. Cal and Rose sit down, since most of the people didn't like it, the Captain overheard from his table and came over to Congratulate them, and then to sit back down at his table. Cal has had enough of the people whispering and looking at them, and Cal gets up and puts his hands on Rose's shoulders, and says "Darling, shall we go?" Rose even has had enough of the stares and whispers, "Yes darling we shall." Rose looks at them giving them a rude stare back. "Ruth, I can't believe your daughter is pregnant before marriage." One of the ladies tells Ruth, Molly just rolls her eyes. Rose overhears and turns around, Cal tries to stop her and get her to keep walking, but she refuses to stop, and goes back to the table and yells, "So what if I'm pregnant! Like it hasn't happened before! I'm not the only lady who has had a baby before marriage! I'm so sick of people judging others on the outside, when they themselves need to look in the mirror and judge their own hearts!" Thomas laughs, agreeing with Rose, and Molly smiles and laughs agreeing with Rose. "I agree." Thomas stands up and so does Molly, "I agree too." Rose smiles at them both. "Thank you Mr. Andrews and Molly." Rose then walks away back to Cal, and they leave.

Cal and Rose are walking on deck, and Rose leans out and looks over the ocean view, "Wow, it's so beautiful." "Rose, come there's something I want to show you." Cal then takes Rose all the way to the bow, "Close your eyes." Cal says smiling, Rose is unsure at first but he says again, "Go on." Rose closes them. Cal helps her to the rails, and tells her to "Step up onto the rail." Rose does and Cal has her, he holds her. "Hold on, do you trust me?" "I trust you." Rose says smiling and laughing, and Cal is laughing and smiling with her. "Alright, open your eyes." Cal says as he has her arms held out holding them. "Ahhh, I'm Flying Cal!" Rose says excitedly amazed by the beautiful sky around her and the ocean view. Cal then begins to sing to her in her ear, "Come Josephine in my flying machine going up she goes... up she goes." Cal and Rose's hands move around in their fingers together, and then Cal looks at Rose, and Rose looks at Cal, Cal kisses Rose's neck abit leading to her lips, and they share a passionate kiss and knowing their new beginning as husband and wife is soon to come and now also they're a mother and father another new beginning and whether they have to start a new life alone together, they don't mind as long as they have each other.

 

"It's quite proper I assure you." Rose says laughing coming in her room, as her and Cal were laughing and talking. Rose shuts the door, and then turns around to face Cal, looking at him smiling, and leaning up against the door, Cal comes up to her putting his hand gently on her face, kissing her, and they kiss passionately as he holds her by the door. "Cal." "Yes darling?" Cal says still kissing her. "I want you to draw me." "Draw you?" "I want you to draw me wearing the heart of the ocean necklace you got me, and only that." "Oh Really?" Cal says shocked. "Really." "Let me go get this dress off." Rose says kissing him just softly, not wanting to start because they can never stop. "Okay." Cal kisses her gently back.

  "The last thing I need is for me to looking like a porcelain doll, as a paying customer, I expect to get what I want." Rose says throwing a dime at Cal, as he's sitting in the chair, she takes off her robe, and Cal is still amazed by her beauty even after all this time of seeing her, like it's the first time he's seen her. "Rose, forgive me, it's just that you are so beautiful each time I see you, it's still like my first time of seeing you." Rose smiles, "Thank you." "Over um the bed, the couch." Cal says. Rose smiles at him constantly, and goes to the couch, "Tell me when that's right." "Put your other arm, your hand back the way it was." Cal says. "Alright sweetheart, just try to stay still." Cal says taking a breath and beginning to draw her. Rose begins laughing inside and smiling, "I believe, you are blushing Mr. Big Artiste." "I can't imagine Missour Monay blushing." "He does landscapes darling." Cal says smiling and blushing. "Hold still my love." Cal continues drawing her. He finishes, and she gets her robe back on, and comes up behind him watching him sign his name.  

 

Cal is out on the promenade deck looking out the window, "Ooh it's cold!" He says blowing into his hands and Rose walking out into her swim dress, "Wow, you look nice." "Thanks sweetheart." Rose says smiling. "Cal, Rose!" Ruth knocks on the door, she's drunk with whine. "Oh great mother is drunk." "How can you tell?" Cal says. "I know her this much honey. She gets drunk when she doesn't get her way and blames everything on me." Rose grabs Cal's hand right away and they walk out the back door quickly, and just then Ruth comes in the room, they're not in here she thinks and then hears the door close, Ruth follows the sound of where they went. Ruth comes out the back door, and sees Rose and Cal, "Rose, Cal!" She hollers and though they're not that far, and other people stare at Ruth, "Run!" Rose says, and her and Cal both run away from her mother. "Miss Ruth." "Come back inside, let me help you." Miss Trudy says. "I don't need your help, leave me be!" Ruth goes back to the dinner area, and gets more to drink. Rose and Cal take the elevater to E deck, and Rose and Cal go into the room and Cal locks the door thinking that Ruth is still after them. "Your mother is crazy Rose!" "Ah huh, she is!" Cal then looks down to the boiler room, "Hey let's go down through here." "Okay." Rose says. Cal gets down first and then helps Rose down. "You two shouldn't be down here, it could be dangerous!" Rose pulls Cal by the shoulder and his jacket and runs with him, and she runs in front of him. "Don't mind us you're all doing a great job, keep up the great work!" Cal yells running, and Rose is smiling and laughing, the other workers are just wondering why those people are down here. Cal then stops Rose abit in between the boilers and kisses her passionately, and moves to kissing her neck. They then move on to the next room where the cargo hold is, and the cars and luggage are. "Look at what we have here." Cal says. Rose laughs. "You're used to these cars Cal." "Yes, but I never really enjoyed them really til now with you." Cal smiles and Rose smiles and blushes. Rose goes uh hum, and Cal opens the door for her, and she takes his hand and he helps her inside, Rose brings down the window and Cal honks the horn, "Where to Miss?" "To the Stars." Rose says. Cal turns his head to look at her and Rose pulls him back in the car with her. Cal and Rose in each others arms holding each other and fingers running through their hands together, "You nervous?" "No." Rose says. "What about the baby?" "The baby will be alright, I trust you, we trust you." Rose says smiling, kissing Cals fingertips, and then looking at him with passionate eyes, "Put your hands on me Cal." He does so, and they go all the way down to the bottom of the car, he goes on top of her gently though because of the baby, but they still make passionate love. "You're trembling?" Rose says after she has put her hand on the window from so much passion with him. "Don't worry, I'll be alright darling." Rose kisses his forhead then lays his head down on her chest.


"Did you see them? Those guys faces!" Cal says laughing as him and Rose come out laughing from the cargo hold door, Rose grabs a hold of him and holds him in her arms, wraps her arms around him then her hand goes to his face, "Cal, I love you, and I don't care if it's just you and me now, I'd rather it be just us." "This is crazy Rose." "I know that's why I trust it." Cal looks at her passionately and they both kiss passionately. "Rose, shall we go back to your room?" "Cal, you are wanting more?" Rose says smiling, "I would like more Rose but no, just to go back." "Okay, darling." Rose says smiling still, holding his hand they go back.   

Chapter 4: "Ruth discovers the drawing."

"What are you doing?" Lovejoy comes up behind Ruth. "Look at this!" "A naked drawing of my daughter and a note Rose left me, it says, Darling mother, now you can keep us both locked in your safe!" "Well, she is beautiful, I can see why Cal is in love with her and really in love with her not just because..." Lovejoy says, "Don't tell me you're on their side?" "Yes I am." "Well, this is just going to be for me then!" Ruth says, keeping the drawing in her pocket without Lovejoy seeing. Rose and Cal go back to the room, and Lovejoy is in the room still but Ruth left, "Rose, Cal..." Lovejoy says, "What is it Lovejoy?" Cal asks, "Your mother found the drawing, and the note." "I couldn't really stop her because she snuck it, she thought I didn't see, and I didn't want to make a big scene, she's still drunk as ever." "Lovejoy, it's okay, don't worry we'll take care of it." Cal tells him. Rose looking worried, "Cal, what if she shows it to everyone?" "Darling..." Cal then runs to where Rose is in the dinner room, they still have it open for drinks and snacks late at night and there's still first class people there and Ruth's friends there. "Girls look!" Cal runs immedately up behind Ruth and grabs the drawing and note out of her hands. "Exscuse me!" Ruth turns around. "Cal how dare you!" "How dare you" Cal yells back at her. "Don't ever do this again!" Cal yells. Molly is even suprised by how Cal is standing up for Rose so much more now, knowing the way he was before, even she thought he was stuck up but now her view of him is different. "Ruth, I can't believe you would steep this low!" Cal yells at her. "Don't yell at me Mr. Naked guy who loves to see my daughter naked." Cal gets red in his face, "Ruth stop!" Lovejoy comes up behind them, "Ruth! I can't believe you did this! Leave them two alone, they're alone and in love and that's all that matters, I would love to have a love like that one day with someone as well but she hasn't come yet, I've just been waiting for the right one, I've had girlfriends before yes but they weren't the right ones." A girl in her 40's, overhears from another table, she's by herself, and she's very beautiful just like Rose, only she has brown hair and blue eyes. Lovejoy feels her looking over at him, and she's wearing dress like Rose would wear to dinner, only her dress is a pretty green with jewels on it and beads, Lovejoy then walks over to where she is, and everyones looking, even Cal is looking, "Hi Miss." "Call me, Leah." "Leah, that's a beautiful name." Lovejoy says. "What's yours?" "Spicer Lovejoy." "I love that name." Leah says smiling, "Would you care to join me for a drink and snacks?" "Of course." Lovejoy sits down with her, and he knows the others are looking but he doesn't care. "Well, Lovejoy met someone finally." Cal says, "I'm happy for him." Ruth rolls her eyes. "Just another one like you and Rose." Cal has had enough, he finally just walks away mad, and Ruth says, "Walk away mad, that's all you're ever good at, or at least you were til my worthless daughter changed you, I liked you the way you were before for me!" Molly gets up digusted with Ruth, "Ruth, if you won't be there for Rose and Cal, I will, they need help, they have a baby coming on the way and a wedding. I will help them." Ruth rolls her eyes and looks back at her girls, and sits with them, and they continue to gossip. "Some people just won't ever change." Molly says. She walks past where Lovejoy and the new girl Leah are sitting, "You got that right!" Lovejoy says to Molly as she walks by. Molly winks at him, and then introduces herself to Leah, "It's nice to meet you Miss Molly." "Call me Molly, anything you need honey, or help, you can come to me." "Aw, thank you, I'm actually by myself, I have no family, I'm an orphan, but I made my life out of something to be first class, I went to school got a degree and that's how I am what I am today, but I still keep my life with me of where I've come from because I don't want pride to get the best of me." "Oh wow Leah, Lovejoy is sure lucky to have met you, you are a wonderful lady." "Thank you Molly." "Good evening to you both." Molly walks away smiling. "I didn't know that about you til now." Lovejoy tells Leah. "Yeah, I don't look like it but I am an orphan, my mother and father didn't want me. I used to feel unwantable." "You are wanted, I want you." Lovejoy touches her hand on the table gently, Leah smiles at him and actually bravely afraid at first but reaches his face to touch his face gently, "I think you're the man that God has sent to me as well, like He sent Cal to Rose." "I've been watching ya'll from my table, before when ya'll were at dinner, and even watching you." "How come I didn't notice you before?" Lovejoy says. "Maybe you weren't looking yet, but you wanted to but you were afraid." "Maybe." Lovejoy replies. "Leah, would you do me the honor of having dinner with me tomorrow and lunch?" "Of course, I would love to!" Leah says excitedly. "By the way, you don't look 40, you look 20." Lovejoy smiles. "Yeah, I get that a lot, it's always been with me, but that's a good thing for you, I'll always look young. I guess it's in my family from what I had, maybe I was like my mother if I had known her." Leah looks down sad at the table, "Darling..." He says touching her hand. "Try not to focus on the past and the hurt, I'm here now, I feel like this is love at first sight, and yes I said it bravely, fearfully, but I've know I've been waiting for God to send me the right person, I've dated girlfriends before, but they weren't the right ones. But now that I've met you and of all things on the most beautiful ship in the world, the ship of dreams, Titanic." Leah smiles at him blushing, "I feel the same way Lovejoy." "Can I walk you back to your room hon?" Lovejoy asks her, hoping she'll say yes but not wanting to push her. "Yes." Leah says. They walk back to her room, "Would you like to come in with me?" "Yes, if it's alright with you." Lovejoy says. "Of course that's why I asked you." Leah says smiling and blushing. They go in her room, and she shuts the door, "Your room is just like Rose's." "I would love to meet Rose, I saw Cal there, but I would love to meet Rose. I bet me and her would be great friends." Leah says, "Okay, tomorrow at lunch I'll have you meet them hon." "Okay, darling." She actually says to him, feeling like he is the one she's been waiting for too, although she's never had a boyfriend before. "Lovejoy, I've never had a boyfriend before, I've never been kissed, or held, I've always wanted to know what that felt like."
