THE PENTACLE SPREAD

The Pentacle Spread is a new spread that can be easily used with this deck or any other deck and is simple to learn and master. It was developed as something different option to the tradition few spreads that most readers use. It is clear and concise to both the reader and the querant, and if used in public is really easily understood.  Depending on the experience of the reader it can be adapted and explored in quite self-evident ways, as the placement of the cards really convenient for explanation or meditation. It was  something I came up with for quick and easy readings.

The spread utilizes only ten cards and may use either inverted cards of not, because the placement of the cards indicates whether or not to apply the positive or negative aspects of that card.

The
first five (5) cards are laid out in a star/pentacle shape, starting at the top of the star. They are followed by a row of three (3) cards down one side of the table and then two (2) cards in the centre of the star/pentacle.

Card locations are as follows with traditional elemental positions named:

1 The overall attitude or condition of the querant, this may apply to the question at hand. Or it can tell one or two major
characteristics of the querant. Traditionally this is the placement for the element of spirit and  soul, of you and all things
    Divine

2 The querants approach to the situation and how they are applying  themselves. The mindset or determination of the
individual going into the situation. This point is associates with fire, and in this spread it is the drive and ambition you as
the  Querant has to ask or to seek this answer.

3 How the situation presently stands, not the definite outcome, but the current reaction based on the conditions as they are
at the time of the reading, and a reasonable indicate of the outcome at the present. This is the point of air, and it is
intelligence, the answers to what it is you seek within all reasonable expectations

4 The problem(s) that are present and must be overcome for a positive  outcome. What is that is stopping or hindering the
querant reaching this  particular goal. This is the point of Water, which is emotions and  intuition, and it is with ourselves
that we find the most problems

The solution to the problem(s) what has to be overcome and this can or may be the key to a successful outcome. This is
the place of the element Earth, and it is how you must apply yourself to overcome the obstacles of the fourth point.

6 The querants physical approach on this question and this card  will indicate what they need to do or refrain from doing.

7 The querants mental approach on this question and how they are  responding to either the demands or the responsibilities
or what will be asked of them.

8 The querants spiritual approach on this question, this is the crux of the reading, because it can determine personal
satisfaction with the outcome or the fear of that outcome.

9 The short-term outcome after the resolution of the problem(s). This is usually in terms of  three or four months in the
   future.

10 The long-term outcome, this is the result after three or four months and for the subsequent year or so.
