Prime of Rods:
Rods, are the suit of how you the Querant sees the world, in an analytic and structured way. The Prime of Rods signifies a great understanding of how things work and what needs to be done. The singleness of this one tree shows it as the �tree of life�, it is all knowing all aware and within its leaves, branches, trunk and roots lay all the elements of a complete life and existence. The Prime of Rods is the �good father�, imparting wisdom and sage like advice to his children. He knows the ways of the world and understands what has to be done and has no doubt about his ability to get it done.
Reversed: Confusion and panic are major elements of this card in the undignified position. You should take time to think things through and you will realize that whatever the problem at hand is not as serious as it seems if you think it through. You have the resources and the understanding to see your way clear of the issue. Basically you are panicking and allowing emotions to cloud your usually good judgement and rational patterns of thought. Take a deep breath, stand back from the issue and look at the big picture and then decide what path you need to follow and stick to that path until the end.
Two of Rods:
With two rods you can make a fence, and you are sitting on that fence. You are torn between two options and you have to decide with one you want. The path of least resistance and the easy path are likely the wrong course of action for you to follow. You do need to be brave and take the more difficult one. Following the greater path you will only get lost in the crowd, you have to strike out on an individual course and do it your way. This card is not a good card, it is telling you to take the least desirable and least favourable path, and doing so will allow you to gain the understanding you need to find a successful conclusion to this period of doubt.
Reversed: You are allowing the louder and more vocal aspects of this issue overtake the possibly smaller root cause of things. You have to look for details and for cause and effect of this issue. If you try dealing with the glitter and the flash you will be ignoring the fundamental causes. Look at yourself and look for the decisions that seemed at the time trivial or non-important, they may be what has created this situation and by overlooking them, these small acorns have grown into mighty oaks.
Three of Rods:
Three trees or Rods spring from a common source on this card. This reflects that your heart, mind and soul are all being more interconnected than with most people with regards to understanding where you fit in and feel you fit in in the real world. You have realistic expectation and have planned carefully, so as long as you maintain this balance and maintain your level headed approach you can expect success. With these trees standing so close together they function as a grove and support one another. If there is any negative connation to this card it is you are holding your cards too close to your chest and being a bit too cautious, try looking into doing something new or taking a small chance.
Reversed: Your current attitude is to rigid and totally inflexible, you need to break free of your sheltered life. If you feel that things around you are heading down a dead end street, they likely are. You need to add some spice to your life. The greatest warning of this card is the one of the aspects of your life is draining you of to much energy and robbing you of you former zest for life. This could be your current relationship, employment, or even you recreational pursuits.
Four of Rods:
All aspects of you life are secure, family, friends, employment and home life. You have built security based on your understanding of the world and how it works. Keep this course and things will be secure for the long term. You have planned for the future and you feel confident on where you are heading, this is because you made the right choices. The knowledge and experience you have gained in the past will help you walk into a positive future with a great amount of contentment.
Reversed: The wisdom and knowledge that you gained in the past has granted you a false sense of security. Not that anything you have is at risk, but that you can achieve so much more if you quit being so cautious and timid. How is not the time to rest on your laurels, take the next step and move on to a new mental challenge, if you do not, your lax attitude will allow an opportunity to slip through your fingers.
Five of Rods:
This Five is a misplacement of your wisdom, you are concentrating on too many details. Your style of micromanagement that you are applying to your life is stealing your joy of life and the joy others would and should have being around you. You are becoming to bitter towards people who don�t fully agree with you. You are being too pragmatic and seeing the world in to much of a black and white contrast.
Reversed: The Five of Rods was bad in the dignified position it is worse reversed. You do not need to constantly explain to everyone what they are doing, neither do you need to continually demonstrate your wisdom and intelligence. You are being annoying and boring, and your wisdom is being more of a burden that a blessing because you are flaunting it and people who are your equal, although you find that hard to believe are writing you off as a lost cause and see you as a fool.
Six of Rods:
You as the Six of Rods are a beacon, people seek you out for your calm and level approach to problems. When you see a problem you stand back make and assessment and then act with certainty and decision. You are an anchor to the people around you and they see you as safe harbour in the tumultuous sea of life. You have a lot of wisdom to give and you have not allowed your wisdom and knowledge to give you an egotistic outlook.
Reversed: You have a great amount of wisdom, understanding and a very good grasp of the workings of the world. However you have an equally as great problem expressing you opinions and ideas. You know you know what to do, however you feel you lack the social skills or social awareness to make a difference or that people will listen to you. Get out there and speak your mind, you have a lot to share and once you start giving advice you will gain a lot of self confidence.
Seven of Rods:
The efforts of your past, the carefully planning and the well measure journey are all about to come together and give you the positive outcome you had hoped for. Your goal or the solution you seek is just steps away. The answer you see will be granted and everything will fall into place. The tree in the centre of this card is your goal it stands as the only colour on the card and as the only living and alive thing. Out of the darkness your answer stands before you.
Reversed: With this card reversed, you truly cannot see the �tree for the forest�. When you began this journey you had a starting point, a method to get to where you are going and a hoped for end point. However along this journey you have lost sight of your gaol slow down, take a look around and get your bearings. Your reward is closer than you think and all you have to do is re-focus on your objective at this time
Eight of Rods:
Where the goal on the Seven of Rods was just a short journey in the woods, the solution you seek with the card will require one or more hard decisions and a more determined attitude. The stone ring which surrounds your objective need to be breached. There is no easy way to get where your going so be prepared for a few more hurdles. You planned this journey well and you do have the resources at hand, so do not lose heart. You are growing tired within and you feel exhausted, but the world is not fighting you now it is just you fighting yourself.
Reversed: Everything that you have done so far is at risk if you do not zero in on what it is you set out to do. Now is not the time for half measures and accepting an inferior result. The world around you is changing and settling for a mediocre result, but do not allow yourself to fall into that trap. You had high standards and you had high expectations, the journey is almost complete so don�t come in second. Give yourself one more push and rise above the masses and stand out as someone special.
