Agape
I got Agape on October 11, 2002. She was 7 weeks old. I got her from Affordable Pets.  She is handfed. It is quiet interesting to see the difference between a handfed budgie and one that was parent fed.  She new the command "UP" when I got her.  She will at times beg to come out and will jump from her perch to my finger. :) She does have a problem with fluttering off when out of her cage. We need to work on that.
She doesn't have any white on her, accept on her cheecks.  The flashe just washed parts of her out.
Update: November 22nd, 2002: Well, I've had Agape for over a month now. :) She is an awsome bird.  At times a little fisty, but who isn't?  She loves apple and broccoli. I give her some other veggies, when we have them, but cooked broccoli is her favorit. She never seams to do much with raw broccoli.  I for one can't blame her, I'm not fond of it raw myself.  After Charisma died we moved her upstairs (where he hadn't been) to the top of the piano.  I think she enjoys being up with the family. She is quite vocal, I am trying to teach her the wolf-wistle, and just a two not wistle.  Some times I'll hear similar sounds while she is talking (or arguing with her self), I don't know if she is learning the whistles, or if it is part of her bird vocab. :)  She has a toy made of different shaped rings. She loves it. She will hang from the bottom and then go through the start and circle rings. The other day she would sit in the circle right, to a loop and go back through, all in one movement. Quite a little gymnest.  She is getting better on flying off.  She does it most of the time when she is hungery.  How should I deal with that? I don't want to reward her by giving her food, but I don't want to starve her.  What I mostly do is wait till she behaves for a few minutes. Then I put her in her cage, and them a little later give her food.  Well, I'm going to get off now. It is late. :) Hopefully more pictures coming soon!

October 25th,2002:
To put it bluntly, I have fallen in love with having a handfed bird! I don't know how the rest of your budiges act. But I've found that my parent fed (Shakespeare and Charisma) ones aren't/weren't as well socialized and are/were more timid about new things. Charisma will sit whereever I put him. Agape loves to explore. She will check things out that you put in her cage (like the brocoli I put in last night, she ate some YAY!). When she wants out of her cage, meaning times when she isn't sleepy, She is a riot. :) She thinks I am a jungle-jim and will go from one wrist, jump onto my shirt stomach (while I am standing) go accross my middle, and go to the other wrist. Or if she is feeling adventuresome she will go to my waist in the back and then climb up to my shoulder. She loves key boards and will chew the keys. She figured out that she could pull the mouse off our laptop (the little one that is in the middle of the keys, the little red button) Now if I am using that it is hard to get her to leave it alone. :) The other day she was playing on the key board while i was trying to type. I accedentally "stepped" on her foot with my pinky while trying to backspace. She started biting my fingers. She will now bite at any fingers (primarly pinkys and ring) that are typeing while she is on HER keyboard. :) I had her on my shoulder a few minutes ago, I could tell she was hungery because of how active she was. She flew from my shoulder to my sisters arm 2-3 ft away. I gave her some of ther food (which she picked all the seads out of, *SIGH*) and she is now calmly sitting on my shoulder grinding her beak. She will probably fall a sleep soon.  Well, I think that is all the sharing I have to do for now. :) Have a beautiful day!
