Tom Callaghan has devoted his life to straight honest politics. A graduate of Havard and a man with credentials that few can exceed, Tom ran and won for United States Congressman but once in office he noticed one of the dark shadows at work behind americas political system. Having been offered a bribe his first day in office to allow the dumping of trash in a local wooded area, Congressman Callaghan realized that something most definately had to be done. He attempted to spread his doctrine of fair politics throughout the community, but the concept of a "fair politician" only got laughs and sneers. Dismayed, Tom felt that his quest was in vain and was destined for failure. One day whilst driving home from the office he heard on his radio "Folks, why don't you go outside and have a look into the sky? Aries comet is passing by today and we wont see it for another 80 years, however if your in Clars County, I would stay indoors, there's a terrible Electrical storm headed your way" Tom looked up, in aw he saw that the sky was a greenish color sort of a mist. He also saw the thunder ahead, since he did live in Clars county. He drove on, SUDDENLY the car was struck, by a green bolt of lightning, rendering Tom unconconcius. When Tom awoke, it was daylight, and his car was in a ditch. "Well I gues I gotta call a tow truck" he said to himself as he opened the door it came clean off its hinges. Tom thought little of it "hmmmm... must have been damaged" Just then, Callaghan managed to Fire a concentration of energy straight out of his hands into the Earth. He was shocked, what had caused this great power. Flabbergasted he reassured himself that there was a rational explanation. As days went on his powers became more and more appearant and a rational explanation became that much less.More time went on, and Tom became disciplined. He learned how to control his powers and use them. He resolved that he would now do what his orignal quest had set out to do. He would make the world safe for politics. Tom founded the organization known as Political Maelstrom and preached clean politcs as Tomas Callaghan by day and Enforced them as THE MAELSTROM MARAUDER by night. Political Maelstrom ensures that the world will be made safe for politics and any who oppose this concept may prepare for the Green and Black Attack.
