Dance bags: So many styles, types, sizes of them! If you only have one or to classes a week, you may not need to carry a whole lot in your dance bag, However, if you are an intense ballet dancer and spend more time at the studio, you may require more. Here are some ideas (keep in mind that this is a list for  ballet classes-- gear for other types of dance are not included) :

~ Ballet Slippers
~ Pointe shoes *
~ Leotard and tights (even if you come to class in your dance clothes, always bring a leotard and pair of tights JUST IN CASE)
~ Warm-ups
~ Hair items for women (Nets, pins, rubber bands)
~ Water bottle
~ Hygiene items (deodarant and provisions for women)
~ Body spray (for after class)
~ Ballet skirt (if your teacher allows them)
~ Baby Powder or foot powder
~ Toe padding *
~ Bandaids or tape *
~ Advil or Tylenol
~ Sweat towel
~ Exercise band
~ Small sewing kit (
Bunheads makes a "Stitch Kit" that is the perfect size for any dance bag)

* Only necessary for pointe students.
