Changeling
My Liege, My Lady,

I write in haste. This night we strike against the Winter which seeks to Ravenously destroy All In Its Path. The nocker squired to Sir Gustav ap Gwydion {the Vile} has sold his service to Another, this "Baron" NorthArm who seeks to claim a child under the current Protection of the Baroness Angherad.
In Pursuit of this Goal, first did the Troll NorthArm discard the Right of Ignorance and break the Escheat; second did he Abandon the Rules of the Game and attempt to Fraud his servant through some base Chicanery into the acclaim of the New-Discovered Freehold; third did he Forsake the Trial by Fior which he himself Demanded rather than sentence for his Crimes against the Escheat; Last did he then gain his Nocker Slave to Abduct one sluagh Lily, Oath-mate to the Baroness Angherad (and Ally unsuspecting to your Throne my Lady).
This did Pass Thusly:
A fresh Face, though Dark, was seen within the Hold this evening. A sluagh, spoke with the Baroness and make Court with her, even as it was Pronounced that Discovery had been made, Chicanery and Tricks had Deceived the Court at Imbolc. Though call for Honesty and Honour had been made, and Protocols observed by all Present and Accounted, the absent Trollish Villain did make Free with the Soul of the Tourney. His Glamour Aided his nocker servant, his Arts and Crafting appearing but mere Baubles and Beads upon the Morning's Light.
A call went out to Re-Claim this Freehold, given freely but under Deception, from those who would so Abuse the Nature of the Festival of Imbolc. A Plan was set in motion, and the Hue and Cry shall sweep all Defiance before it. This Barony stands united against a Common Foe.
On this Procamation, and at the Call of the Court, the "Baron" NorthArm did sternly Appear. Challenge was Made. He Claimed no Punishment was due, he claimed the Child Lied, he Claimed his actions were Right with the Dreaming, his abuse of Human Witness of no Account. He Claimed Right to Trial by Fior.
The Baroness Angherad did look to Your Servant for an Accounting, and spake somewhat with me. She Calls Claim that this NorthArm does not Merit the ghille-dhu's Child which he seeks, and which he Claims the Fathership, she Calls Claim that indeed this NorthArm did murder in Cold Blood the True Father of that Child, a former Baron whose Title the Troll seeks to Usurp, she Sought his Trial be a Strong one.
This "titled" Commoner stood Proud before the sidhe, daring any to Speak against him, the Threat of Violence clear in his darkened Eyes. This Test was put before him.
As his Crime was against the Humans who surround us. As the Commoners, unlike the sidhe, Share Soul with Humans such as these. As he has Forgotten Kindness to Half his Soul, he must needs Remember it. One Year and One Day, he should live Artless, striving to come to terms with his Human Nature, so divorced that he has Lost his Sympathy. One Year and One Day he should live Mortal, saved from Forgetting and Guarded by the Foresters of this Barony. One Year and One Day to learn the Twin Lives of his Soul.
Angered, this he refused.
Storming through the Gates of Caer Angherad, it was but a Short Span before Word did come to the Baroness - a Statement of Complicity from the Squire Nelson to House Gwydion, this word arrived written to the Baroness: There is one Close to Heart of the Barony, Oathbonded, who is held Captive by the Villains save they Gain their Desires. Reune to be at Midnight.
The Threat is Clear. This Oathmate to the Baroness, this Servant of the Queen, stands Prisoner. We stand to Rescue. All things Fall to the Way-Side owing that be Done.
We move the Barony as One to Strike.
My Lady, My Liege, the Game begins.
I cannot Remember when I felt so Young.
As Ever Your Vassal,
- Sir Halfdan ap Kinrowan ap Gougal, Knight of the Queen's Own, in Her Majesty's Secret Service.

...were as one.
And so our Heroes did Gather about the Barony's Hearth in the Deep of Night, to mark their Wage against this Foul Deed. I stood before all those Assembled, stared eye to eye with Each, dark Faces, clouded with anger that One Claiming Nobility could do so dark a Deed as this, to Steal Away the sworn Friend of the Baroness Angherad and seek to claim the Soul of a Child in his Ambition.
Dark Deeds breed Darker in their Wake. I saw Blood in the eyes of many there, and yet Hope too. I called to all about us, Rallied them to this cause. A simple Plan, yet one executed with Daring and Speed. For Midnight the villain had set this reune, and so for Midnight we did Attend. Three parties were divided and devised:
My Squire, Myself and the ghille dhu Childling to act as our Herald, we would stand as the first Essay.
Sir Gustav ap Gwydion, bearer of the Iron Blade, sought out his Squire, who claimed innocence of the action, pleaded with his Master that this North Arm had forced his Hand. Claiming the nocker as his Own, and claiming the right to mete out Justice to his own Vassal, Sir Gustav took his sword and Squire and formed a second Party.
The remainder of the Barony left standing within that Chamber formed the Third. My plan was simple.
Under guidance of the Sidhe from the Kingdoms of dalarna and Jutland, the Third would stand Hidden on our Entrance, swift and silent, to seek out the Victim of NorthArm's Ire. The Rescue would fall to their hands.
The First Party, being Myself and my Entourage, would storm the very Gates, with Herald to Pronounce our Arrival, and Squire Lion-Hearted and I to hold the Enemy at Bay, we should prove the Distraction, buying Those Hidden behind Veiled Eyes the time they needed to Act. Swift our entrance and Loud.
The Game was set, the Form would be seen to. NorthArm would expect an Arrival from the Sidhe - he would not expect a willingness to Cunning.
And Lo! Did we not find on our arrival he had marked a Bait and Switch! More cunning than I had thought, and a Worthy Adversary, this was no more than Falling to his Plan! We found but Mortals there. A dark Crime, they were pursuing, and Justice needed still to be Done, but Northarm nor his Men were present.
Nor the sluagh Lilly, Favoured of Angherad, Guadrian of the Frail Bridges.
Indeed, this Confrontation had purchased Time Enough for the Villain to act against the sluagh Guardian of the Babe he sought, slaying Humans and wreaking Havoc in his pursuit.
The Hue and Cry went out, calling All to seek and Aid the sluagh. Gustav "the Black" commanded that his Squire must find the missing Lily or pay a heavy Price. This Fior the Nocker had no choice but to Accept.
In turn, we leant our Minds and Hearts to her recovery, seeking to Aid. The Selkie Adreanna which had attached herself to this Court, did seek them out by Sea, finding the "Baron" North Arm upon the Waters of the Harbour, locked in Combat with the Knight Gustav the Black of Gwydion.
A Mighty Blow did land Gustav upon the Shore, drowned and bedraggled, water and blood. It stood the Selkie's turn, now. Though Injured by his Trollish Blade, the Axe of an Ogre-Fiend, his ship was guided roughly against the Shore, where did Gustav and the Ogre again make War.
Blow upon Blow did they rain against each the other, and ever did Gustav the Black grow weaker, his sword arm unable to Carry its Iron Doom.
Then did I interpose myself, with Grandeurous Pronouncement, between the two Combatants. I called for the resolution of Northarm's own Fior, of his Trial and Judgement, passed down by the Baroness Angherad.
The Troll did Submit to this Justice, but on condition only. An Oath he had sworn, dark and terrible. Crossed Blades with Gustav ap Gwydion, and should he break his Oath, surely must he Perish, his Honour Forsaken.
I allowed Northarm to strike his Final Blow, and the Dark Knight Gustav the Black, who did not slay his Mentor with a Cold Iron Blade, did fall to the ground, bloodied but living.
The Ogre Baron NorthArm did accede to his punishment, and the sluagh Lily was Found.
The Babe of his Quest, his Ban and his Doom, was unharmed...
