Daffyds sire, Baron Letham Richmond was killed before he ever saw his demense again. Daffyds mother and godfather were drawn into a void during the event that flooded the Caer with mist. Two months ago, the mists cleared. Baron Daffyd sent in trusted vassals into inspect the Freehold.
Now, with the Hold secured again, Baron Daffyd is ready to leave his sanctuary, Weatherhold, and reclaim Caer Wyrravel in a grand ball, celebrating the relighting of the Balefire. But with the Commoners having so little structured rule lately, will they embrace the traditional ways? Or will it be a bitter pill for them to swallow?

Venue Notes:

Supplementary Style Information: The Court of Baron Daffyd Richmond has once again been established out of their Ancestral Home; Caer Wyrravel. But the Noble presence in the city is wane; and the Commoners of the Barony of Myst Valley have gotten used to hearing little from the Richmonds during the 19 years they were displaced from their Freehold. But that comfort has turned to unrest, now that the Baron wishes for things to immediately return to what they were once before. A figure known only as Rhelmes is crying for Revolution; and perhaps, some are listening?

Style: The downfall of Caer Wyrravel was set in motion years ago; athough this wasnt the final result that anyone expected. It began shortly after Daffyds birth; when Baron Letham, and his Lady Rhyssa Cole-Richmond saw a beautiful treasure mirror in a Fae Market. It was known as the Eye of Hope; but Lady Rhyssa (secretly part of House Ailil of the Shadow Court) recognized it as something more the Misted Eye; a lost artefact, rumoured to have powerful scrying abilities. Unfortunately, Baron Letham started monopolizing the mirror; jealously hoarding its ability to bestow Glamour. Worse yet for the Counts consort; a Sluagh Squire by the name of Thellan Saint-Germain dicovered that the mirror was cursing those who had used its effect with Banality.
Thellan discovered a legendary artifact that could shatter the mirror, and sent a motley into the Deep Dreaming to find it. Months later, only the Troll leader of the motley returned, with the Chimerical Hammer. Without a word to anyone, he strode into the Caer, and shattered the Mirror; despite the efforts of Lady Rhyssas attach, Sir Dunstable St. Croix. The mirror shattered into 12 shards, as a void opened within the frame. Sir Dunstable, and the hiding Lady Rhyssa were pulled into the void; the Troll, Sren, managed to hold out against the pull. The void closed, and a chimerical mist poured out, driving everyone from Caer Wyrravel. Sren left alone, leaving the Barony (forever?) the Chimerical Hammer gone back to Deep Dreaming.
The truth of The Misted Eye came out that day, although no one noticed. The Mirror was actually the prison of an ancient Chimera; the Mist Queen. Mystically forged from the souls of 12 noble mortals; it held her for centuries. But now, she is free. It took 19 years for her to collect herself and regain her power, but now she is able to act again. And her first act is to find and gather the scattered shards of her former prison; the noble souls; now twisted by her power and influence. Without that power, she fears being destroyed. Each Shard caries some small power; and a curse and the trapped essence of a noble soul; twisted and ravaged by the Mist Queen. One shard sits unseen in the blinded eye of Baron Daffyd Richmond even now.
