Pagan Prayers, Poems And Chants
Welcome all to one of the most favourite places on this site. Again this is a work in progress sort of thing, so please be patient with me :)

I want to make this an interactive page though, so please if you have any prayers, poems or chants that you'd like to share, e-mail me and I'll have them posted ASAP. Just give me your name and if you have a website that too and I'll make sure to post them up to your writings.

Copy and use any of the works on here as you please,  just give credit to the author if your using them on your own personal site.

Thank you and enjoy.
Pagan Baby Song

Hush little baby don't you squall
Momma's gonna buy you a crystal ball
And if you still can't see beyond
Momma's gonna buy you a magic wand
And if that wand wont change your fate
Momma's gonna teach you to levitate
And if the astral makes you sick
Mamma's gonna buy you an incense stick
And if that patchouli smells rank
Mamma's gonna buy you a sensory deprivation tank
And if that tank don't float your bones
Mamm'a gonna buy you come precious stones
And if those gems don't ease your heart
Momma's gonna buy you a natal chart
And if your planets go beserk
Momma's gonna buy you some bodywork
And if you aura still needs kneading
Momma's gonna buy you a past life reading
And if your destiny stays hid
Momma's gonna buy you a pyramid
And if your chakras still feel stressed
Momma's gonna take you on a vision quest
And if power animals don't come to charm ya
Sorry kid, it's just your karma.
For Good

Let my eyes see only beauty
Let me witness honesty
Let my ears hear the truth
Let my very breath of life be for good
Let my mouth utter truth and kindness
Let my life be lived for good
Let my life energy be used for good
Let my body remain healthy
So I may grow spiritually
Let my hands work for good
Let my feet walk in the way of growth

Ceridwen, Goddess of the Celts
Witness my intent to commit my life to growth and good
Reqognize my mistakes as a part of learning
Guide me in the way I should go and shield me against negativity
So let it be

To The Rose Upon The Road Of Time

Red Rose, proud Rose, sad Rose of all my days!
Come near me, while O sing the ancient ways:
Cuhoollin battling with the bitter tide;
The Druid, gray, wood-nurtured, quiet-eyed,
Who cast round Fergus dreams, and ruin untold;
And thine own sadness, whereof stars, grown old
In dancing silver sandalled on the sea,
Sing in their high and lonely melody,
Come near, that no more blinded by man's fate,
I find under the boughs of love and hate,
In all foor foolish things that live a day,
Eternal Beauty wandering on her way.

Come near, come near, come near - Ah, leave me still
A little space for the rose-breath to fill!
Lest I no more hear common things that crave;
The weak worm hiding down in it's small cave,
The field mouse running by me in the grass,
And heavy mortal hopes that toil and pass;
But seek alone to hear the strange things said
By God to the bright hearts to those long dead,
And learn to chant a tongue men do not know
Come near; I would, before my time to go,
Sing of old Eire and the ancient ways:
Red Rose, proud Rose, sad Rose of all my days

The Ancient Wisdon - Olde Welsh Prose

He who knows the ways of the beast and birds,
Who can distinguish them by sound and cry,
Who knows the bright quicksilver life in streams,
The courses that the stars take in the sky,
May never had laid hands on books, yet he,
Is sharing winsdom with infinity...
He who works with sensitive deft hands
At any woodcraft, will absorb the rain,
The sunlight and the starlight and the dew,
That entered in the making of it's grain;
He should grown tall and straight and clean and good,
Who daily breaths the essence of wood,
He who finds companionship in rocks,
And comfort in the touch of vine and leaf,
Who climbs a hill for joy, and shouts a song
Wo loves the feel of wing, will know no grief;
No lonliness that ever grows too great;
For he will never be quite desolate...
He shares, who in companioned long with these,
All ancient wisdom and philosophies.
A chant to be said while watching the sun set:

O hail, fair sun
Ruler of day
Rise in the morn
To light my way

A chant to be said while gazing at the moon:

O hail, fair moon
Ruler of night
Guard me and mine
Until the light
When I Am Dead My Dearest

When I am dead, my dearest,
Sing no sad songs for me;
Plant thou no roses at my head,
Nor shady cypress tree:
Be the green grass above me
With showers and dewdrops wet;
And if thou wilt, remember,
And if thou wilt, forget.
I shall not feel the rain;
I shall not hear the nightingale
Sing on, as if in pain:
And dreaming through the twilight
That doth not rise nor set,
Haply I may remember,
And haply may forget.
