| Hello! Welcome to my web site. I thought it might be interesting for you to know a little bit about my background. I am a native to Arizona, born and raised right here in Morenci. In fact, both of my parents were also born and raised here. I am starting my 30th year of teaching and still get excited every year school begins! I can't think of a better profession to be in! I taught here in Morenci for 8 years before I moved to Tucson where I taught for 5 years. After I got married and had my daughter I couldn't think of a better place to raise her than here in Morenci, so my family and I moved back here and have been here since 1990. I now live in Verde Lee with my husband, Larry, and my two children, Alia a junior and Taylor a freshman. This year I was assigned a different and very challenging job; I am now the Special Education Coordinator. Fortunately, I still get to teach in the Early Intervention Preschool program in the afternoons three days a week. I am also in charge of the testing for the district. All of my teaching experience has been in special education except for one year when I taught a regular fourth grade class. I still have a dual certificate which would allow me to teach either special or regular education. I also have an Early Childhood Special Education degree. |
