The American Consulate in Guangzhou
Jennifer's Place, a great shop by our hotel.
View of the Pearl River from our hotel room.
The Famous White Swan buffet.
Even at the White Swan Hotel, you can find interesting challenges in the food department. Some of us were very thankful for our box of Pepto.
This IS a bowl of fish heads, considered a delicacy...
Guangzhou marked the end of our trip to China. We were enormously blessed by God with a beautiful, healthy, baby girl on June 10, 2002. In the Summer of 2004, we began a new paperchase. We look forward to going back to China and the opportunity to see it once again. The Chinese people are truly a gracious and generous people. We hope you will remember to pray for all the many thousands of orphans who are still living in orphanages and foster homes in China, one of whom is now our child.
Once we received our visa for Michelle at the American Consulate in Guangzhou, we were free to return to America. By this time, we were all very ready to go home. We caught the next flight out to Los Angeles that same afternoon. Michelle became an American citizen once our plane touched down on American soil.
During our time in China, we were able to send messages back home. If you would like to read them, they are posted here.
