| Anxiety, frustration, and despair are words that have become all too common in our modern world. With families uprooting and relocating every 3 to 4 years on average, many people today are disconnected from family and long term friendships. In addition work, pressures have intensified as technology had increased with the hollow promises of liberating us from our labors. Frustration and fear also overwhelmed Hannah, a childless woman who lived in an age when children were viewed as a supreme blessing. Her barrenness had begun to mock her through the hateful words of Peninnah, her husbands other wife. She was in great anguish as she continued to call on God to bless her with a child. |
| How often do you find yourself or someone you love anxious or afraid? When you are in such a situation, what is your responseto the pressing need? As you grow in maturity in Christ, you will learn to trust Him more and put your needs in perspective according to His awesome provision, even as you will see Hannah did by reading I Samuel 1:1-28. |
