MESSAGE IN A DREAM

One night I dreamed I was walking through the woods,
Where evil lurked and there was no good.
There was no way out, as far as I could see.
Then the Lord appeared and said to me,
�Do not fear, for I will be with you.
Trust in Me, and you will make it through.�

The next night I found myself in shadows dark,
Where there was not light, not even a spark.
I started to worry; I started to fret.
Then the Lord came, and said to me yet,
�Do not be afraid, for I am your light.
I will be with you to win this fight.�

Then I found myself in a reign of fire,
Where I was tempted by the devil with my darkest desires.
Not knowing where to turn, I shouted to the sky,
�Where are you, Lord? How will I get by?�
He said to me again, though I was torn apart,
�Do not be deceived; just listen to your heart.�

Then I awoke and realized I was dreaming.
Nothing was real, though it had me believing.
The Lord had sent me a message while in my sleep �
While I was away from the world, in dreams so deep.
He reassured me, and now I know
The Lord is with me always, wherever I go.

He is with me through the hardest times,
Through the wind and the hail.
He will guide me through the challenges
And help me prevail.
If I believe in Him, He will show me the light.
He will take me down this road � this path we call life.
