MEMORIES

Our eyes filled with tears
As we watched each other go.
Nothing but memories left through the years
Was all we had to show.

We'd known each other for so long;
We were the closest of friends.
But soon those moments would all be gone,
As our time together came to an end.

We always stuck together, through good times and bad.
When someone was down, we were always there.
We had moments that were happy and moments that were sad,
But we gave support with encouragement and care.

I wish we could have had more time and things to say,
But now we're split apart.
And though we've gone our separate ways,
Our memories will always live on within our hearts.
