A LESSON ON GRAMMAR

Before one starts to write,
There are a few rules you must know.
Follow these rules by day, by night,
And perfect grammar you will show.

Always check for speling,
And eschew obfuscation.
If you want to start excelling,
Use proper punctuation;

We shouldnt use slang,
Though it aint got me knowing.
Avoid using slang
To keep sentences flowing.

When forming a perfect sentence,
Remember: the verbs has to agree.
Use commas with acceptance;
Take notice of apostrophes.

These rules may seem repetitive,
But each part has its function.
Dont use no double negatives.
And dont start with conjunctions.

Please do not be fooled.
These errors we must resist.
After all, without proper grammar rules,
How could this poem exist?
