TRIP TO THE DESERT March 27- April 2001 Las Vegas, NV and Grand Canyon, AZ, Zion National Park, Utah SECOND STOP: GRAND CANYON This place is quite pretty and it's only about 4-5 hours away from Las Vegas. We flew from SJC to Vegas, rented a car, and visited several national parks. This is also the highlight of our trip. There are Native American artworks (i.e. Navajo and Hopi) that are cheaper here but however, this place is also quite barren. This is also the location of several Indigenous Tribe's reservation which makes the place more inteteresting.  We were trying to catch sunset (but we missed it! darn). We came across a deer and several fawn.
