AYASHI NO CERES
Nocturne
Compared to "Fushigi Yuugi", I must admit that I was extremely disappointed with the anime version of Yuu Watase's "Ayashi No Ceres" for three reasons. First, despite the promise of a bright future for the new generation that was mentioned in the ending, there is absolutely no redemption for the characters from the tale's very bleak premise. Secondly, everyone who's important died in the anime. Admittedly, it depressed me that Aki, Chidori, Shuro and, yes, even Kagami died. I was depressed even more when the ending revealed that Touya didn't have long to live either. Thirdly, unlike Miaka of FY, I truly hated Aya. Don't ask me why. I just don't like her PERIOD.
It is for these reasons that I decided to write "Nocturne". All diehard Touya-Aya fans should steer clear of this fic. Sorry but I did something to Aya in the first chapter alone that is terminal and permanent. However, I'm setting this tale up so that there would be, hopefully, a much happier ending, especially for my favorite bishie Aogiri Yuhi, who has been through hell in the anime, but still didn't get the girl. Here in "Nocturne", Yuhi will not only get the GUY (Hey, this story is yaoi, remember?), but also something very, very special.
Of course, Yuhi will have to go through hell again before he finds true love and happiness. Sorry, but I'm probably just as big a sadist as Yuu Watase. He he he.
