Zanbot 3

The last refugees of an extra-terrestrial race have taken shelter on Earth after their own planet was destroyed by the terrible Gaizoku.  However, the danger soon comes to Earth and the people blame the refugees for their menace.  Only the gigantic robot Zanbot 3, piloted by Kappei, Uchuta and Keiko, stands to depend our planet against the mechanical monsters of the invaders.  Created by Gundam father Yoshiyuki Tornino, Zanbot 3 is a dramatic series with a tragic ending, as both Ulchuta and Keiko die sacrificing themselves for the greater good, and prefigures the author's following works.
