Chapter One:

- RORY P.O.V. -

I cant believe that so much has happened this year. . . I mean Sookie got married, dad and Sherry had a baby and mom and Luke are engaged. Who would have thought that they would wake up and see what was in front of them.

After the weeding Luke just broke and kissed her. And mom kissed him back. And now theyre engaged. Sookie is pregnant shes gonna have a boy. And yes I know what your thinking what happened to Dean and Jess. Well. . .

Jess and I talked after the kiss, and it was unanimous kissing each other  was like kissing a member of our family, and well now that mom and Luke are getting married were not that far of.

And Dean? Well about two months ago I finally got sick of the uncontrollably-jealous act he had going on and I dumped him. He sulked for a week and then moved on, I think here name was Jessica, then came Lisa, and after her came Beth, and well I just kinda lost track after that. But I dont care.

Lane is actually dating Henry. Turns out that her mom talked to the Chows and set them up. The face that Lane had when she realized it was Henry was up-price-able.  And well, theyve been dating ever sins.

Things at Chilton are actually a lot better. And when I say a lot I mean a LOT. Paris, Madeleine, Louis and I actually became friends, and good ones at that. Paris started dating. . .  Breath, in out in out. Yes I know unbelievable but true. His name is John, great guy, very sweet and smart. Madeleine started to date too. And guess whos the lucky winner? Well you know Brad? Nope. Thats not it. Actually its Jess. . . Yes I know once again I leave you with your jaws ten feet under. Sorry. But its true. Jess and Mady met when the girls came over to the town for a project. And they just clicked. I never thought as Madeleine as Jess type of girl. He actually told me she isnt his type of girl, but hey she just slid her way into is heart. Shes actually not that. . . whats the word. . . nope no nice way of putting it, brain dead. She learned a lot from Jess. And Jess well. . . hes the same old Jess.

Now here I am. At my grandmothers house for the summer. But its not that bad, Jess is here too. The thing is, mom and Luke decided on going on a vacation, you know like a pre-honey-moon trip. Cesar was left in charge at the Dinner. And sins Luke didnt want Jess alone in Stars Hollow , cause we all know that wouldnt be safe, he asked my grandmother if he could stay here too. She actually said yes. My grandparents actually like Luke. Grandma said she knew all along that something was up between mom and Luke.

So, here I am, the first day of vacations at my grandmas house sitting in the back yard thinking in the changes that occurred this year.

Rory Emily called

In the back yard grandma I yelled. Emily opened the door and stepped out, after finding me she walked up to me.

Hello dear. . . what are you doing out here all by yourself? Wheres Jess?

I was just thinking. Jess went out with Madeleine I told her.

Oh. Do you have anything planed for today? Perhaps something with Lane? She asked. *Too many questions. Shes up to something* I thought.

No grandma. . . Lane is in Korea this month I said

Well Im going over to spend the day at a friends She said happily Would you like to come along? she asked. I knew that she wouldnt take no for an answer, so I complied.

Alright, but let me go change. I doubt that jean shorts is proper for this occasion I said. I knew she would ask me to change, I just saved her time. She smiled at me.

Alright. Ill have Sam prepare that car that said we both left. Me to change, her to ask Sam to prepare that car.

I changes into a simple light blue dress that ended about an inch above my knees. Is had small white daisies on it, and it had a simple V neck line. I put on a pair of white sandals and left my hair down. Grandma was waiting at the door for me.

Rory you look wonderful she said as we headed out

Thank you I said as we got to the car. Sam opened the door so my grandmother could get in Hi Sam

Hello Miss Rory The old man said what book are you reading this fine day?

Actually I just finished Pride and Prejudice I said getting into the car. Sam closed the door and jogged to the drivers seat. Turning on the engine chuckling slightly

And may I ask how many times you have already read that book?

15 I answered smiling. Sam just shook his head.  And we were of.

Five minutes later we arrived at the front gate of a huge mansion. It was about 3 or 4 times bigger than my grandparents. Entering the car, Sam slowed down. The front yard was like a park. And what a park it was. It was absolutely beautiful, it had a rose garden in front of the house, there were yellow roses and white roses, pink and red roses too. It was absolutely gorgeous. Sam stopped in front and opened the door. As I got out I contemplated the roses, there was a gardener cutting some roses. When he had about a dozen cut he walked towards the house. He smiled at me and gave me a white rose.

Thank you I said smiling

You are very welcome my dear he said and then walked in. Then an old man, who I presumed to be the buckler came.

Mrs. Gilmore, how lovely to see you He said smiling

Hello James Emily said smiling This is my granddaughter Rory She said looking at me.

Hi I said smiling, once again, playing with the petals of the rose.

Hello Miss he said to me, then looking at my grandmother he said, moving so we could pass Please come in, Mrs. DuGrey is waiting for you out in he back yard

A/N: Hey. So? Did you like? Did it suck? Tell me what you think.

Chapter Two:

Mrs. DuGrey? I asked. I must have heard wrong.

Yes. Oh, Didnt I tell you? Well it must have slipped my mind Emily said brushing it of The DuGreys are very close friends with your grandfather an I

Oh I couldnt believe my luck. But what did I have to worry about? I mean Tristan was at Boot Camp in North Carolina.

Rory? Are you alright? Emily asked me.

Yes, Im fine grandma. . . I just spaced out for a second there I said to reassure her.

We entered the house and I was astonished. If I thought that the front yard was beautiful I dont know what was left to say about this. It was like a palace. But the thing that most impact had was that it looked lived in, it ad a home vibe, one that is not custom in the Hartford upper class. I would have expected it to be cold. I never really thought that this was the kind of house Tristan grew up in.

James guided us to the back yard. I couldnt believe this either. This house was full of surprises. The back yard was like a small Garden of Eden, and there was a Gazebo, surrounded by flowers. To the side I saw a round table and a woman sitting there, drinking a cup of tee. *So were at his grandparents house* I thought.

Emily, you made it. How are you doing? The woman greeted us then she looked at me and smiled And prey tell who this lovely young lady is

Sara, its wonderful to see you again. Emily said, This is my granddaughter, Rory

Hello Rory Sara said

Hello maam I said smiling at her, she looked nice.

Please all me Sara, and sit down she said. We then sat down with her and James served my grandmother a cup of tee, when he was about to serve me a cup I asked

Would it be too much trouble it I had some coffee? I said and he just smiled

No problem at all Miss he went in to get me some coffee I suppose. About five minutes later he came back and gave me coffee.

Thank you I said before taking a sip. He smiled at me again and waved it of.

For about twenty minutes my grandmother and Sara made some small talk while I admired the garden and the beautiful day.

Excuse me, I said Where is the bathroom? I asked. I really didnt want to go but I just couldnt sit still.

Down the Hall three doors to your left Sara informed me, I thanked her and left. Leaving them to talk.

Shes a remarkable young woman Sara said to Emily

Yes, she is. And shes in the top of her class too Emily said proudly

Does she go to Chilton?

Yes, as a mater of fact she does

Then she must know my grandson

Tell me Sara, how are you?

I am better, but its only been a week

I know, and losses like the one you had are very hard to overcome, but not impossible. Besides, you have Janlen and Tristan with you

Tristan is still recovering form the accident. The doctors say that its nothing permanent, but it doesnt help. He wont eat; he wont talk to his friends. The crash took away my grandson and replaced him with a young man that barely speaks

I have an idea if you let me Emily said, the wheels in her head turning.

Inside-Rory

I walked down the hall, looking at the pictures that hung on the wall. They were mostly of Tristan. There were two that caught my attention.

One was of Tristan and his grandfather. It wasnt taken long ago, maybe a year and a half. In the background you could see a lake and mountains. Tristan was holding up a rather large fish. He had an arm around his grandfather and his grandfather an arm around him. Both of them were smiling brightly at the camera. *Funny* I thought *I never pictured Tristan to be the fishing type*

The other one was one of Tristan and a young man that I didnt know, but he looked older than Tristan. They were laughing, on the floor covered in food. *Must have been a food fight* they looked like they were having a great time.

Just as I was about to move on something caught my attention. It was a piano. My curious side got the best of me and I followed the music. It lead me to a pair of big old oak doors. Opening one, trying not to make too much noise I entered a really big room. And Im telling you, it was huge, it was almost like the whole bottom floor of my house. There was a fireplace and on top of it were some trophies, next to it was a case full of trophies. There was also some furniture (coffee table, couches, etc.). And then I noticed him. Tristan. He was seated on the piano bench, playing a soft melody.

I really looked at him for the first time sins Ive known him. I noticed that his hair was shorter, not buzzed like I thought hed have it from Military School. I noticed how his jaw was firmly marked and how the tip of his nose was round. But the thing that surprised me was the change he had in his eyes. They were no longer playful and full of life, but they were sad and gray, he was looking at the wall, but at the same time he wasnt. Then he abruptly stopped playing and spoke.

Whos there? he asked. What was he playing? I was right here, couldnt he see me? James is that you? he asked his voice scratchy and low. Thank you, but I told you that Im not hungry he said and waited for an answer that never came. It was then that I realized it. He was blind.

Not getting an answer he spoke again Whos there?

This time I simply answered. Hi Tristan

A/N: O.K I gave you this chapter so, now reviews. Do you get were Im going with this? TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK!!!!!!!

A/N: Hey, wow, I didnt expect so many reviews. And for those of you who didnt get it. Yes Tristan is blind, but only temporarily. He might get better, he might not. I dont know yet.

Chapter 3:

I couldve sworn I saw his guard fall. Even if it was just for a second. I saw it. He was scared, and hurt and. . . weak. I never thought the day would come that I, Rory Gilmore, would ever see the real Tristan DuGrey. To be honest, I doubted there was really more to him than the playboy-bad-ass-rich-white-boy attitude he had. *Lire, Lire, pants on fire* a small voice sang in my head *Lets travel back in memory lane. . . piano bench. . . Rebound. . . kiss* Fine. Maybe, deep inside, and I mean really and extremely deep inside, a small part of me, about the size of a grain of sand, thought it was possible for him to actually have some real feelings.

But that view that I got, the real Tristan, only stayed for a second, and then, the wall was up again. And I couldnt see him.

What are you doing here? he asked, not Hello not How are you? not even Rory, is that you?. Nope. Its was, instead, what are you doing here? But I decided to shut up and answer.

My grandmother asked me to join her and a friend for a cup of tee, and the next thing I know Im here I said truthfully.

I mean why are you here? As in Why in this room? He asked, still his voice low and cold. Hes never really spoken to me like that. Hes always been playful and. . . I dont know, anything but cold.

I was looking for the bathroom and I heard music. . . and seeing as how Im my mothers daughter, I followed it and here I am standing in front of you and. . . Your not here

Yes, I am

No. Here, in front of me is a boy, a cold boy playing a melancholic song on the piano, and talking to me as if I were. . . I stopped

As if you were what? A far acquaintance? Well if your not that, then pleas enlighten me as to what you are? Cause youre sure as hell not my friend. Remember? You hate me he said standing up. He was taller.

I said a lot of stupid things that day I said truthfully Im sorry He just looked at me. But his face expression softened. And I smiled. And then I did the most incoherent thing.  I walked up to him and hugged him. Putting my hands around his shoulder and bringing him closer to me. When he didnt return the hug I frowned and started to pull back. But just then, at the last second possible he wrapped his arms *And Lord! What strong arms they are! * Around my waist pulling me back to him.

I missed you, he said into my hair, sending shivers up and down my spine.

I missed you too, I whispered. After a few minutes we pulled back. And I dont know about him but the loss I felt scared me. He sat back down, on the piano bench and scooted over, making room for me. I sat down and a silence took over. All I could do was think about his eyes, and what had happened. But I didnt know how to ask.

Ask he simply stated there was no annoyance in his voice. Just amusement.

What happened? I blurted out. Yup, thats me for you, bold. I just figured that beating the bush was useless, and I decided to save us both some time. I looked at him he was serious. And a few minutes, after letting me suffer the intrigue long enough, he spoke.

My parents went to pick me up at Military School because it was against the rules to let me go on my own. On the way to the airport a drunk driver hit us from behind sending the car of the road into the woods. We hit a tree. . . He was quiet for a second, recollecting himself The didnt suffer. . . they died instantly. I hit my head and lost conscience. The next thing I know Im at a hospital, bandages around my eyes, and when I took them off I couldnt see. Tristan swallowed.

I. . . dont know what to say. . . I mean. . . is it permanent or just. . . I asked, my voice cracking.

No, its temporarily. The doctors said that I can get my sight back but they dont know how long its gonna take.

I didnt know what to say. I just entwined my arm with his and leaned against his shoulder, letting out a sigh. I couldnt leave him like this. Even after all hes put me through. Then the doors opened and James came in, carrying a tray with some sandwiches and a glass of water. He looked at me surprised but smiled, coming towards us.

James? Is that you? Tristan asked.

Yes Tristan, I brought you something too eat, He said.

Im not hungry Tristan said politely. I looked up at him and then at the dejected face James had.

Tris, when was the last time you ate? I asked. He did look a little pale.

About two days ago James said

Thank you James Tristan said.

Tris you have to eat I said If not your going to get paler and paler and the youll look like a ghost and we all know thats not attractive, I said in one breath. He raised his eyebrow. I knew I would win.

Theres no way out of this? He asked hopefully

Nope. So eat up?

And if I dont Typical of him.

If not. . . Well make you swallow it

You feeding me? Not such a bad idea He said smirking

If you want to choke, then no not a bad idea at all

Fine he gave in. James smiled at me and mouthed thank you I waved it off and smiled.

Ill go get you a glass of water Miss so you can join him

Coffee would be great I said smiling. James just shook his head and left.

So what now? he asked

Now you eat He sighed and I gave him a sandwich. James then came back with a travel mug.

Miss Rory, your grandmother is leaving, I prepared you a mug for the road

Thank you I said and stood up. Ill see you soon I said to Tristan

How do you know?

I know my grandmother, thats enough I said smiling and I walked out.

My grandmother was talking to Sara at the door. They were both smiling, a little too much for my taste. They were up to something. I walked up to them and they became quiet. I looked at my grandmother, an eyebrow up.

Grandma, I love you. . . but whats up? Sara laughed.

Shes a smart one She said.

Dont worry dear, nothing bad, I assure you. But lets go, I have some phone calls to make Emily said. And, after saying goodbye too Sara, we were off.

Nothing much happened that day. For the next few days all I could think about was Tristan, and his eyes. It was sad that someone like him had to go through this. And the real loss was that those blue-once-upon-a-time-rebel-without-a-cause-playful eyes were not there anymore. Instead there were a pair of blue/gray eyes that held no life, no feeling. And then it struck me. I was actually sad for him. Sure he made my life hell in Chilton, but he had changed. . .I hope. I mean I was with him only for a couple of hours, but there was something different about him. He was. . . whats the word?. . . Ahh thats it, he was more mature, more grown up, and the ego, that was still there because what would Tristan be without his Ego, didnt show up as much as it would have normally   done it a year ago. A nock on my door broke my concentration.

Come in I said. My grandmother opened the door.

Rory, dear I have too talk to you She said, sitting down at the edge of my bead. I got up form my seat at the window and walked towards her sitting on my bed.

Is something wrong? I asked, of course the first thing that popped into my head was that something had happened to mom or grandpa or someone.

No, nothings wrong but I do have a small dilemma She said. I received a wedding invitation today, from and old friends daughter and I have to travel to London for two weeks. But I dont want to leave you and Jess alone here sins your grandfather has to come with me. So I spoke to Sara and she agreed to receive you two in her house until I come back

Oh but. . . AHHH I need an excuse!!!! Uh. . . Mom! Yeah what did mom say? Saved!. . . Or so I thought.

Actually Ive already spoke to her and she said it would be kind, and Luke had no problem at all Emily sad smiling.

Great I said, plastering a fake smile on for her sake.

Wonderful! So its all settled. Pack your bags you leave tomorrow. She said as she left

Yeah. . . Just great I said to myself.

A/N: You review = Me HAPPY = more chapters more soon. It works out for all of us, really.

A/N: Hey, wow, I didnt expect so many reviews. And for those of you who didnt get it. Yes Tristan is blind, but only temporarily. He might get better he might not. I dont know yet. I highly suggest you re-read the first chapter. I love Jess but not in that kind of way, hes good with Madeleine And I plan on keeping things like that. And for those of you who are heart-broken with Tristans blindness start picking up the pieces, one or two more chapters and he gets all better.

Chapter 4:

Oh and Rory she said form the door

Yes grandma?

Dont bother telling Jess, Ill tell him myself she said, a glint of mischief in her eyes. In the time grandma has known Jess, theyve played a little game, he gives her a heart attack and she gives it back. It was quite amusing actually.

Alright I said nodding and then she left.

Great! I thought. Two weeks of Tristan. Its wasnt the thought of being with him for two week the thing that frustrated me, it was the fact that I couldnt decide weather I liked the idea or not.

After I packed my bags and took them downstairs. I started to go back up but once I reached the top stairs I heard Jess come in, turning around I saw Grandma walking towards him. This was going to be fun.

Hello Jess Emily said as usual

Hi Mrs. Gilmore Jess answered back and I could tell he was getting ready for the hit.

Did you have fun?

Oh yes, getting high on crack is always fun he said smirking. That was it, the opening my grandmother needed and 1 2 3

Jess Jacob Mariano go upstairs right now and pack your bags, you will not stay n this house a minute longer!  Emily said severely, pointing to the stairs.

Jess face was I cant put it into words. Grandma had outdone herself. Jess jaw was three feet under. His eyes wide open and he dropped his backpack.

I you what he stammered. Emilys face broke out in laughter and I joined her form upstairs, not able to contain it any longer. Jesses looked at me and then back at Emily.

I that whats going on?!?!?! he finally said

Grandma has to travel and were gonna stay over at the DuGreys for tow weeks I said still laughing, after regaining my composure I added Oh boy Jess she got you good this time

I gotta hand it to you Emily, your getting good, but dont underestimate me he said walking over to grandma, putting an arm around her shoulders. Emily just smiled up at him and said

Well enough of this, you have to go pack, your leaving tomorrow morning

Theres nothing to pack, I never unpacked in the first place, he said smirking.

Well the lets go to the dinning room, dinner is served Emily said.

THE NEXT DAY/ CAR RIDE TOWARDS THE DUGREY ESTATE

Jess and I said goodbye to grandma and then went over to Sam, who was waiting for us, our bags in the trunk and the car ready to go.

So where going to spend the next two weeks at Tristans grandmothers house? Jess said, more than asked, Good thing hes at boot cam huh? he said. Remembering that he was Madeleines boyfriend, it didnt surprise me that he knew about Tristan, the thing that worried me was WHAT he knew about Tristan.

Wrong I said Hes living with his grandparents, I said and then preceded to tell him about the accident and Tristans condition Please be nice I said

You want me to be nice to a guy that tortured you for a year and a bit more? Jess asked, but I knew he was kidding I wont pity him if thats what youre asking for

No, I didnt ask you to pity him, thats not what he needs, but I do ask you to give him a shot, you two cold really be friends

And why is that?

You two are basically the same, except hes a blonde version and youre a brunet

Huh I never pictured myself as a blonde He said, and the is a fake feminine voice he added Would I look good as a blonde? Should I dye it?

No offense, but you as a blonde would just be plain wrong I said laughing And cruel to the mirror

Were here you two Sam said. Getting out of the car I heard Jess say

This is a fucking palace!

Jess, I swear if you steal anything Ill never forgive you, I warned

Party pooper he said as he grabbed our bags and walked to the front door, witch opened as we got there. James smiled at me and then at Jess.

Miss Rory, nice to see you again, and you must be Jess, we were waiting for you

James please, lose the miss, just call me Rory

As you wish, he said as we entered you may leave the bags here, well take them up to your rooms, no pleas follow me, Mr. DuGrey and Mrs. DuGrey are waiting in the garden with breakfast

Wheres Tristan? I asked and James smiled

A friend of his from Military school is also staying here for the summer, they went to the lake, on the other side of the estate he said

Lake? Jess asked

Yes theres a lake right before the garden ends, after breakfast you may go if you wish, he said, by now we were outside with Mr. And Mrs. DuGrey.

Rory, how nice to see you again Sara said and then looking at Jess Jess I believe?

Jess just nodded, I think it was because he didnt know how to address to her, if he should all her Mrs. DuGrey or Sara or, and this one he hates, maam.

Im Janlen, Tristans grandfather, its a pleasure to meet you

After easting and talking to the DuGreys, and let me tell you I didnt expect them to be so nice, Jess and I went to investigate the gardens.

This is too big to be a garden, Jess said

Oh my lord. Look they have stables! I said, Ive always wanted to ride a horse, but my mom was afraid of the, due to too many episodes of My Little Pony as a chilled, thanks to my grandmother, so I never got around to it. On the opposite side of the stables there was a lake, Tristan and another guy were there, laughing. Tristan was back.

CHAPTER 5

Suddenly a small little blond girl came running from behind a bunch of trees. She was the most adoring little girl Ive seen, wearing a pink sundress and white sandals, her blond hair reaching hips. She must have been 4 or 5 years old.

Twistan!!!! she yelled running towards Tristan, and wrapping her arms around his neck almost sending him back I saw an aminal! she said excitedly.

Really? What was it? Tristan said, an amused look on his face

It was a chipmunk! she said, and then looking up at the guy standing next to them she added Do you like chipmunks Wayan?

I like you dont I? he said and picked her up and started twirling. But then he stopped. Busted!. Looks like we have company he said looking at us.

Who is it? Tristan asked.

Paris I said smiling.

Ahh! So your taking me up on the offer to devise a plan and kill Rory? he said smirking.

Ill have you know that Paris and I have become good friends in the past 6 months I said.

Wow! was the only thing he said. The I think he realized that there were some introductions to be made so he got those out of the way. Rory this is Ryan, Rev this is Rory he said.

And Im Jess Jess sad.

Tristan, this is my cousin-to-be Jess, and Ryan nice to meet you I said

Hey Ryan said putting down the little girl Just call me Rev he said

Why Rev? Jess beat me.

Cause he has this thing with religion, prays every night before he goes to sleep and before meals

Sunshine here likes to put pet-names to people, dont you Sunshine? Rev asked smirking. Tristan just chuckled.

Tell me about it! I said

Aww, but I thought you liked the pet name I gave you Mary he said smirking You know you do

I admit it. . . Sunshine?

Look at that blond head! Rev said pointing his finger at Tristans head

Creative, better than Bible Boy. . . and whos that cute little girl? I said smiling down at the little girl, who just ran into Tristans arms.

This here he said caressing the girls blonde hair is Molly, Molly this is Rory and the boy is Jess, their gonna stay with us for a few weeks, their nice

You dont know Dodger. . . I said smirking at Jess

Hey! he said I can be perfectly nice if I want

Think Kirk I said And Taylor, the Troubadour. . . The whole town of Stars Hollow I said counting with my fingers, Jess just smirked

You forgot Dean he said

That was justified

Yes the whole Frankenstein-tall thing was just to much

One more member of the I-hate-bag-boy-club Tristan said softly. But I heard him

I know why Jess is. . . not fond-

HA! Jess interrupted, but I continued

. . . of Dean, buy why you?

Dance he said

Oh I said. Not a good topic. So I did what any Gilmore would have done in a situation like this. . . change subject So where do you know Tristan from Rev?

Military School he said And Marthas Vineyard, our familys go up there a lot

Oh. . . so why did you go to Boot Camp?

Tradition he said My father went ther, my grandfather went there and so on and so on

Bummer

I really dont mind he said.

Brain wash Tristan said in a conspiracy tone.

The sound of a cell phone rang distracting us from the conversation. Jess answered it

Speak. . . Hey babe. . . yes. . . wait a minute Jess said, then covering the speaker he looked at me. Its Mads, the gang plus one are at her house and theyre bored out of their minds. . . can they come here or is it top secret Sunshine over there is here, cause the have no clue Jess said.

Umm. . . I dont know I said Tris? Do people actually know your back? I asked

No why?

Well you see Madeleine just called Jess and the gang plus one are at her house and theyre bored out of their minds. . . can they come here or is it. . . he cut me off

the gang plus one? he asked

Mads, Louis, Paris and John plus Louiss flavor I said

OH. . . well then sure they can come, I was gonna call John anyways

Great Jess said Mads do you know were the DuGrey house is?. . . yes. . . just come here. . . youll see. . . you to babe bye he said and hung up. Theyre on their way here

Characters:

Captain/Vin:  Vin Diesel Fast and the Furious  XXX

Chapter 6:

They all got here 20 minutes later, and after the initial shock of Tristan back and blind we just hung out. Paris was talking to Rev, Louis and Less, her flavor, were making out in the stables, Mads and Jess were talking near the lake and I was sitting on the grass with Tristan and John.

Captain is back John said. Tristans eyebrows shot up. Who the hell was Captain?

Really? Tristan said When does it start?

Next Friday. . . This year is gonna be hell without you John said truthfully. And as natural, my curiosity got the best of me.

Umm. . . Who is the Captain and whats it? I asked. John looked at me and smiled

It is the Ice Hockey Summer Tournament and The Captain is our Coach John explained For about 6 years now Tris and myself play, and I gotta tell ya, theres no one like Tristan out on the ring

You do know that with me gone the c spot is open right? Tristan said, I swear I could have distinguished a rather sad tone as he said it I would have thought that youd be jumping at the chance

Are you kidding me?!  John exclaimed chuckling And fill in your shoes? Id look like a clown!

Arent you giving him a bit to much credit? I asked, Well hey! It was true. He was speaking of Tristan like he was the God of Hockey.

Trust me. . . John said Im doing him no justice he said truthfully. Just then Paris came up to us.

John, my mom called Paris said I gotta get home for dinner or else Im grounded

Getting up John kissed her and said No prob.

The gang plus one left, after finding and of course separating Louis and Less. Tristan, Rev and Jess all went back in, and I decided to stay out and explore.

2 DAYS LATER

I was walking out of the kitchen. James had made a pot of coffee and I had been there for the last hour trying to get him to tell me his secret. Jess was out with Madeleine and Rev had tagged along accompanying Louis that didnt want to be the third wheel. Mr. And Mrs. DuGrey were at the Country club and Tristan was upstairs in the gym. Can you believe it? He has his personal gym on the third floor. Full of machines and. . . stuff that are in a gym.

Reaching the piano room I sat down, enjoying the last cup of the James pot. After about 5 minutes I heard some screaming / arguing and of course being my mothers daughter I went to sneak a peak. I stopped at the oak doors, getting from where I was standing front row seats to Tristan and a blondes discussion. Where have I seen her before? AHH. . . I got it! Summer!

Tristan and Summer where ate the top of the stairs yelling at each other. Well it was more like Tristan yelling and Summer flirting.

Come on Tris She cooed You know you want me back

Actually I dont  Tristan said You were good for me once upon a time. . . But things change. . . people change he said

Im giving you an opportunity most guys in Chilton kill for and your blowing me of? she said not completely capable of understanding that he didnt want her

Well then. . . what are you doing here wasting your time on me? Go to the poor little boys all lined up in a row ready to date you and pick one cause you wont find one here he said

You have no idea of what your missing Summer said stomping down the stairs and slamming the door shut behind her.

Tristan was at the top of the stairs, just standing there. I was going to say something, but then I noticed he was getting dizzy or something, reaching out to support himself he stumbled down and fell.

Tristan! I yelled but it was too late. It all happened like in slow motion. One minute hes standing and the next hes rolling down the stairs. Running towards his body, now lying at the bottom of the stairs I kneeled down next to him. Lifting his head and resting it on my lap. He was hurt, and his left cheek was covered in blood.

James! I yelled James! Someone! Help me!!!

James came running from the kitchen his mouth forming an O when he saw Tristan. Reaching for a phone he dialed 911. I just looked at Tristan, his head on my lap. I felt helpless, there was nothing I could do to help him and it was killing me.

THE HOSPITAL 3 HOURS LATER

I was sitting on a chair next to Tristans bed. His grandparents were talking with the doctors outside. The ambulance hade come 10 minutes after James had called, and I went with Tristan to the Hospital. James had stayed there and had reached his grandparents. They had arrived half an hour after we had. And sins then Ive been sitting here. He was alright but he wouldnt wake up.

Uhg the sound of him groaning brought me back to reality. Quickly standing up and reaching his side I stood there, waiting for something to happen.

Tris I breathed out.

Mare. . . he said weakly and I smiled. Never had I been so happy to hear that name.

Wake up sunshine I said. Suddenly his hands flew up to his eyes. The doctors had bended his head, covering the wound and his eyes.

This thing itches he said trying to take it of. Reaching down I pulled his hands away and helped his retrieve the bandage. Once I got it all of I threw it on the chair I had been seated on. His eyes fluttered open reveling his beep blue eyes. I noticed his brow scrunching, as if he was trying to do something. . . see something. And then it happened. The Tristan 100 watt smiled appeared.

Your eyes are just as blue as they were the day I left he whispered. My eyes? He. . . How could he know that? Unless. . . he could see them. . . My smile widened as I reached out and hugged him. I think he was still astonished but after a moment his arms came around me, hugging me back.

Tristan I heard Janlen say. We pulled apart and I let the old man and his grandson hug.

I can see Tristan whispered a single tear escaping his eyes.

I think the only reason you got your sight back was because you couldnt stand not being able to play in the Tournament Sara said kissing his lightly on the head.

Of course! Janlen said That and the fact he couldnt stand not being able to see the beautiful creature thats in front of him he said looking at me. I blushed, and Tristan smirked

Oh how I missed that blush! he said.

Just then a nurse came in and informed us that visiting hours were over and that we should just come back tomorrow. Sara put on a fight be reluctantly gave in when the nurse told her that Tristan would be able to go home the next day. After the DuGreys said their goodbyes I went up to Tristan.

Bye I said kissing him slightly on the cheek Dont give the nurses much trouble

Who me? he asked innocently.

Ya you I said smiling as I left. What a wired day.

A/N: review and Ill give ya more. AND READ AUTHORS NOTES!!!!!!

Chapter 7:
THE NEXT DAY (9 A.M.)

I lay down my copy of Pride and Prejudice on the chair. I couldnt read anymore. Jess was out on a date with Mads, so I couldnt talk to him. . . so that only leaves me one other option. . . to go bother Tristan. He probably needs some entertainment, the doctor said he should stay in bed today, take it slow.

I left my room and headed towards his, but I stopped at the end of the hall when I saw his door open. He came out; wearing black baggy sweats, revealing a pair of light blue boxers and a white t-shirt, but the thing that caught my eyes was the backpack. Where did he think he was going? He was supposed to be resting. . . I followed him down the hall and stopped at the end when he reached the stairs, after he was out the door I ran down the stairs, trying to catch him.

Outside, as wired as it may sound being summer and all, the dark gray clouds were threatening to unleash a storm. Lightning illuminating the sky ever so often. . . I loved it. It was beautiful; it was a war in heaven between clouds.

Tristan was getting into his car. I wrapped my arms around myself, cause Lord knows a white tank top and red flannel pj pants where not all that warm, and ran towards him. If he was going somewhere I might as well tag along. . . right?

Tris! I said, trying to catch his attention.

What are you doing here Rory? he asked confused. He was so cute when he was confused. . . Did I just say that?

I was bored and Jess is out on a date so I though Id go bug you for a while but I saw you coming out if your room in a sneaky kinda way and sins I am a Gilmore curiosity got the best of me so I followed and-

Following me? I could accuse you of stalking Mare

Always the ego present

Well. . . he stopped for a moment as id doubting what he was about to say Get in

I didnt say anything, I just walked to the passenger side and climbed in. . .

We had been driving for about. . . five minutes. Neither one of us talked, and normally that would drive me insane, but not with Tristan. . . weird. I remember with Dean we couldnt stand being quiet, when we were it was a tense silence, but not with Tristan.

Where are we going?

Youll see he said, his eyes never leaving the road

How long before we get there?

30 seconds. . .

Why are we at the Hartford Country Club? I asked looking out the window while he parked outside the front gate. . .

Youll see He said, smiling. . . but it wasnt an ordinary smile, it was a I-know-something-you-dont-and-Im-not-gonna-spill kind of smile.

We got out of the car and walked along the road boarding the brick wall, walking away from the gate. . . Tristan stopped a few feet before the road finished.

Now what? I said, unless he has magical powers and makes the wall disappear I really dont see a way around this.

Now we climb He said, I laughed. . . he was joking. . . wasnt he?

Tristan This is me were talking about. . . I can climb a tree with a lot, and I mean a lot of effort but not a wall. . .

Ill help you he said.

The nest thing I know hes bending down on a knee and entwining his fingers together. . .

Put a foot here and Ill push you up, you pass one of your legs over the wall and sit ok?

If I break my neck its your fault I said complying. . . I put my right foot on his hands and my right hand on his shoulder while the other one reached up to the wall. When I was finally seated on the top Tristan jumped up, his hands reaching the top and his feet pressed against the wall, a few seconds later he was sitting next to me.

Now what?

Now I jump he said and he did, landing on his feet. Then turning to me, he walked so he was standing directly in front of me. His hands stretch out and he signals me to semi-jump-semi-slide-of-the-wall slowly. His hands grab my legs and helped me lower to the ground, moving upwards as I descend. The feel of his hands on me was. . . tingly. . . Someone could have told me it was Fourth of July and Id say they were right. . .

Once I was standing on the ground, we just stud still. . . I dont know why but it was like I couldnt control my feet. . . suddenly his hands drop from my waist and he pulls away. . . what just happened there?! Why the hell am I disappointed?!

Thanks I managed

No problem. . . no come on he said walking towards a building that wasnt that far away. . . I jogged up to him and walked besides him. . . We stopped at the door. He reached out to open it and, probably as he expected seeing as how his face wasnt at all surprised, the door was locked.

Now what?

Now you wait while I work on this locked door here he said bending down and reaching to get two thin metal bars from his pocket and started picking the lock. I had to laugh at this. . . Tristan DuGrey, son of the rich, king of Chilton was picking a lock!

Youre a menace to society I said

Thank you he said as a  CLICK  was heard, he stood up and opened the door

Isnt this against the law or something?

Yes. . . so? He asked smirking Joe knows I come here often, nothings gonna happen

Whos Joe?

Security guard

Oh. . . so where are we exactly The room was dark and cold. . . Tristan reached over to the wall probably searching for the light switch. As the lights turned on and I caught a sight of where I was, I couldnt believe where we were. . . of all the places Tristan would bring me, THIS sure wasnt one of them. .

CHAPTER 8

Well? he asked, You like?

You sneaked out of your house. . . just to come to an ice skating ring? This was. . . odd, but in a good way.

Yes he said, At night theres no one here, so I have the ring all to myself. . . I like to practice

Oh

Tristan walked towards a few benches that were in front of the ring, sitting down he opened his bag and took out a pair of black ice skates. While he was tying them he said

Go to the back and get a pair of skates

Why?

To run a marathon. . . what do you think theyre for, were gonna skate

"I dont know how

Have you ever been on rollers?

No. . . I wanted to, but when we bought them, my mom put them on and had a really nasty experience sins she didnt know how to stop and ended up in the grape cart in front of Dosees

Well then Ill teach you

I-

I dont take NO for an answer, so go get a pair of skates he said while standing up and getting into the ring.

I am a really stubborn person, no one will question that, but Tristan can outbid me sometimes. . . So I went over to the skate shelves and looked for my size. Once I found it, I sat down on the bench where Tristan had previously sat and put them on. I stood up, with some MINOR difficulties and grabbed the bar that boarded the ring.

Tristan came over to were I was standing and stretched out his hand. I dont know why. . . but I took it. . . and I wish I hadnt. Cause now I have to have a mental debate over why I feel a wave of tingles running up and down my arm, and I dont like to fight with myself.

. . . Now lets try it He said, he had just finished explaining how I should put my feet, how to stop, etc.

If I fall- I started to warn. . .

Ill catch you. . . besides, its not so bad, its not like it hurts

Maybe to you! But Ill have you know Im a very hurt-able person

Nice word

I thought so too

Now lets skate

I hate you

No you dont

Youre putting me in a could-be-very-physically-painful situation

Im also putting you in a could-be-very-fun situation

I doubt it

Just do it he said before pushing me into the middle of the ring, and then catching up to me, grabbing me around the waist so I wouldnt lose the little amount of balance I had left. That move just gave me a new topic for my mental debate. . . What the f**k is WRONG with me when Im around him?!

After two hours of skating, I decided to sit down. Tristan just kept on skating, now in circles and faster, sins I wasnt there to slow him down. . . not that he slowed down when I was WITH him, but still. . .

(Rory starts taking off the skates and putting on her shoes)

I remember a few months back, Jess wanted to take me ice-skating. I was so afraid I would fall and break something that I couldnt even stand up strait once the skates were on. But tonight, with Tristan. . . I dont know. . . Its like once my hand was in his I felt like I could compete in the Olympics or something. And Yes, I know how fluffy and clich that must have sounded but. . . I dont know, or more like I dont care. . .

Rory Tristans voice called Ror come on, its late we should probably go already

Yeah I said as I look at my watch. . . Wow! Its already three Coming

I got up and walked over to where Tristan was standing. We closed the door and started walking over to the wall; once we got there Tristan helped me up and then climbed up himself before jumping over to the other side.

You better not drop me I said weakly, trying to find my voice witch suddenly disappeared when his hands found my hips.

He let me down gently, but before I could move out of his grasp, witch I had every intentions of doing. . . I think, he sent me a look, as if saying dont move. . . please. I tilted my head to the right, I always did when I didnt know or understand something.

My head shot right back up when I felt him moving me back against the wall. . . What was he doing?!?! Why was he looking at me like a giant chocolate cup up coffee??? I wonder if hell kiss me? I wonder if I want him to kiss me? And BANG! Im against the brick wall. . . Tristan is standing so close I bet he can feel my heart beat?

His head moves down so his mouth is exactly next to my ear, and in a low voice he tells me to play along. . .

Play along to what? Tristan whats wrong? I whisper back

Just then I hear it, just now I start to remember that were in the street. Apparently there was two drunks fighting about half way down the block. One had a broken beer bottle in his hands threatening the other who had a knife. I look up at Tristan. Im scared. What if they go mad and try to do something to us?

Tristan hesitated, he was about to do something but wasnt sure. . . I wonder if hell- He did. . . He kissed me. And as hard as it was ignoring the tinny voice in the back of my head that said Dont, youll just get hurt. The voice coming from. . . said dont listen, just do it! For once do what you feel so I did. . . I kissed him back.

I smiled into his mouth when I felt his shock at my response. He probably thought I was going to push him away, slaw him or something. After the two seconds of his shock, he started kissing me again. . . pushing me further against the wall, bringing up the level of the kiss.

I felt one of his hands reach up to my face, barely touching my skin, it was sweet. After a while, Im not gonna lie to you I lost track of time with that kiss so I really dont know how long weve been there, standing up against the wall, kissing, so lets just say a while later he started to move back, He was still kissing me, my nose, my cheeks. . . you get the picture. Then he stops and looks at me, I can feel it. I open my eyes slowly, and meet a pair of blue.

We. . . he says, clearing his through We should go

I just nod; I dont trust myself to speak yet. The two drunks are at the corner now, they dont even know were there. Tristan grabs my hand and leads me to the car.

We drove back in silence, once in a while looking at each other, hoping the other wont notice, but we do. When we got there, he parked the car in the garage and went upstairs, still not speaking. We get to my room first. I open the door, but dont go in, not yet. I look at him, he smiles at me, leans down and dives me a kiss on the forehead saying Good night, turning on his heels and starts to walk away slowly.

I just finished changing into a pair of dark blue shorts and an over sized white t-shirt. I lay on my bed and. . . Nothing. I wont be able to sleep until I talk to Tristan. So I stand up and walk out of my room and towards his. Once I reach the door Im about to knock when the sound of the shower hits my ears.

I smile to myself and head back to my room. Therell be enough time to talk about it tomorrow.

CHAPTER 9:

The next day. . .

Its 9 a.m. and Im walking back in forth in my room. I couldnt really sleep last night. I woke up today at 7 a.m. I showered, got dressed, and for the past 30 minutes Ive been thinking about last night and what would happen today. . .  In the back of my mind I know hell leave the decision up to me, and if that happens I have no idea of what Ill do.

Theres part of me that knows that I want to try this. . .  try us. That part of me keepss reminding me of the kiss we shared last night, of how it affected me. It keeps reminding me that I have a great time with him. . .  But then theres a part of me thats scared that maybe Im just another notch on the belt.

I walk out of my room and head towards the kitchen; Jess is sitting there, reading a book. I go over to the coffee pot and pour myself a cup.

I went to check up on you last night Jess says, not lifting his head up from the book And sins you werent there I went to ask Tristan if he knew where you were. . .  but guess what? He lifts up his head and looks at me He wasnt there either

We went ice-skating I blurred out. . .  I never could keep secrets from Jess

It was midnight

We couldnt sleep

Ahh. . .  What happened? He asks, putting the book down and pulling out a chair for me to sit. I sit and take a sip of my coffee.

"Nothing"

The tell me what have you been doing the last half hour pacing in your room? Or why did Tristan leave at 7.30 a.m.?

He left?

Yeah, said something about needing time to think

Oh

Well. . . he said, drumming his fingers on the table Im waiting

He kinda kissed me. . .  and I kinda kissed him back

And. . .

And I liked it but I scared that hell just use me and drop me like he has with every other girl hes met I said in one big breath

Ror. . .  I. . . Jess started but stopped You and I both know that its not like that. . .  The guy was a nervous wreck this morning, if you were a conquest he wouldnt be so nervous

What if I get hurt?

Theres always the possibility of getting hurt, but its a risk you have to take if you want to actually be happy. . .

Sins when have you been the love-guru?

Madeleine

Ahh, speaking of hows things going in paradise?

Great. . .  Who would have thought? Jess said, half smiling

Well youre a great guy. . .  and Madys a great girl, you both deserve to be happy. . .  though I have to admit, when you two started dating I thought you were trying to have fun and she was bored and. . .  well. . .  it surprised us all

No one was more surprised than us. . .  that I can assure you

Jess and I talked for a while longer, but Madeleine and Louis interrupted us at 10. They wanted to check out a band tonight, but they needed tickets, so Jess went with them, leaving me all by myself.

A FEW HOURS LATER (RORYS ROOM)

I did absolutely NOTHING today!!! Its 4:30 and Ive spent the whole afternoon trying to read, but no luck. Thoughts of Tristan invade my mind! Its a viscous cycle I tell ya! First I try to read then out of nowhere an image of Tristan pops into my head then I start debating over what Im going to do, and when I think I finally made up my mind, and I think the topic is over I try to read and it starts all over again!!!! This is not HEALTHY!!!

-If this is bugging you so much, why wont you just go and talk to him?!?!?! Ever thought about that solution???

But hes not here; he left to who knows where and-

My thought are cut of when I here Tristan talking down the hall with someone. I said this once and I hope I never have to repeat myself. . .  Im a GILMORE its in my nature to be curious!!! So I get up from my bed and peak through the barely open door. . .  Tristan is talking to a big, muscle bald guy. . .  cute, but not my type *No you prefer the blond Adonis standing next to the bald guy*

I am commanding you! The bald man says to Tristan Get out of this funk your in before the game tomorrow or Im gonna kick your ass Then his tone softens and he adds I have no idea what happened, but it looks like its a big deal, so I want you to do me a favor ok?

What do you want me to do Captain? Tristan says. . .  theres something weird in his tone. . .

I want you to go to your gym, I want you to put extremely loud music and I wasnt you to box or something while you think over what your gonna do. . .  or say. . .  or something to get over whatever it is thats got you down like this, alright?

Fine He says, half smiling Now you better get going or Kaylas gonna get pissed your late

Yeah, but remember, LOUD music he says while he walks away.

Later Captain He says. He goes into the room and exits 5 min. later, having changed into a pair of sweats and a white wife-beater, and walks towards the end of the hall, and turns right.

Its been nearly 30 minutes sins Tristan left the hall and here I am, sitting on the floor, looking at the spot where he had been a while ago. My thoughts are suddenly interrupted when I feel a light tug on my shirt. Molly was standing next to me, her blue eyes big and round, with tears starting to form.

Hey sweetie, whats wrong? I asked standing up and looking down at her.

I was wachin my movie and then it stopped and I cant see the song and its my favorite part and I cant find my brother to help me

It was amazing how a small girl could say all that in one breath. Smiling I picked her up and carried her back to her room. She was watching Hercules, and the image had frozen. What the heck am I supposed to do? I know less about fixing thing then. . .  Nsync knows about singing! I put her down and went over to the T.V. After about a minute or two of touching the wires on the T.V. set and DVD player the image unfroze and Meg started to sing:

[Meg:]
If there's a prize for rotten judgment
I guess I've already won that
No man is worth the aggravation
that's ancient history, been there, done that!

[Muses:]

Who'd'ya think you're kiddin'
He's the Earth and heaven to you
Try to keep it hidden
Honey, we can see right through you
Girl, ya can't conceal it
We know how ya feel and
Who you're thinking of

[Meg:]
No chance, no way
I won't say it, no, no

[Muses:]
You swoon, you sigh
why deny it, uh-oh

[Meg:]
It's too clich
I won't say I'm in love

I thought my heart had learned its lesson
It feels so good when you start out
My head is screaming get a grip, girl
Unless you're dying to cry your heart out
Oh

[Muses:]
You keep on denying
Who you are and how you're feeling
Baby, we're not buying
Hon, we saw ya hit the ceiling
Face it like a grown-up
When ya gonna own up
That ya got, got, got it bad

[Meg:]
No chance, now way
I won't say it, no, no

[Muses:]
Give up, give in
Check the grin you're in love

[Meg:]
This scene won't play,
I won't say I'm in love

[Muses:]
You're doin flips read our lips
You're in love

[Meg:]
You're way off base
I won't say it
Get off my case
I won't say it

[Muses:]
Girl, don't be proud
It's O.K. you're in love

[Meg:]
Oh
At least out loud,
I won't say I'm in love

I swear fate was playing a cruel joke on me. . .  using a little girl to get me to listen to that song on purpose. As I walk out of the room I hear Molly scream thank you and then she starts to sing I wont say Im in love jumping up and down on her bed. Im not in love and thats that. I have no sorts of feelings towards Tristan what so ever. Im independent. I dont need a boyfriend. I can be happy all by my self. Im full of crap. I have to find him. Before he decides he doesnt want anything to do with me.

I start to walk towards the hall where he disappeared. The hall was dark except for a dim light that came from the last door on the right. That must be the gym. Big house. Reaching the door I knock. But seeing as the music is extremely loud {Nicklebacks How you remind me} he probably wont hear me I reasoned. So I push the door open and step in.

Tristan was hitting the. . . . Punching bag. Give me a break I dont know what its called, I havent set foot in a gym in my whole life. . . . Until now. He doesnt know Im here, I think, but if he did. . .  know I was here. . .  and turned to me, what the heck would I say? Hi Tristan, I know that you and me havent had a really great start but I just fixed your little sisters T.V. and heard a really cheesy Disney love song and realized that Im in love with you. . . . Now what?

Rory I hear him call. Hes facing me now. Its amazing how sweat makes a guy much more attractive then usual. What are you doing here?

I. . .  I just wanted. . .  needed to talk to you There goes 16 years of vocabulary out the window.

About? He asks, reaching for a towel and wiping his forehead. Hes playing stupid. Off course he knows what I want to talk about. . .  or at least part of what I want to talk about.

I. . .  last night

Oh he says looking down preparing for the worst.

What- why did you?

Rory, I know why I kissed you, you know why I kissed you.

So it was because of the drunks I say. He sighs.

Dont play stupid Ror he says coming closer to me, only stopping when he was a foot away. A foot is a really short distance, did you were notice that? I do now. We both know that they had nothing to do with it, sure it gave me the opportunity, but it wasnt why. You know this why are you asking?

Because I need to hear it from you alright Why is it so hot in here?!?!?!

I kissed you because I needed to. Because its all Ive wanted to do since Madeleines party. Because it was- is driving me crazy having you here and not being able to touch you Tristan lifts up my chin so Im looking at him, eye to eye.

Then why have you been down all day?

Because knowing how your mind works I know that youre here to tell me its a mistake, that it shouldnt have happened and that you and I could never be more than friends

I- before I can say anything he comers my mouth with his thumb.

But you know what? I wont let that happen. Because theres something here, theres something between us and I cant be JUST your friend

I lift my hand and grab his, moving it an inch so I can speak. I cant believe what Im about to do. . .

Convince me He looks at me like I have 3 heads. Convince me that theres something worth having between us

He looks at me, and slowly smiles.

CHAPTER 10:
He starts to bend his head, hes about to kiss me but the door opens and we jump apart. Ill bet anything that Im blushing; he just smiles and looks at the person at the door. James is standing there, with the phone in hand.

Tristan, you have a call He says.

I. . . who is it? he asks him, but hes staring at me. I swear if he didn't look somewhere else Ill melt.

Its Mr. Vin, he says its about the game tomorrow

Ask if it ca wait? he says. Why cant he look away? Its driving me insane, but then again I cant look away either. I feel like if I did look away I would wake up and find myself in my bed at home, and this would all be a dream. I wonder if hes thinking the same thing?

He says its urgent, Tristan sighs. He bends down and whisperers dont move.

He then walks towards James, grabs the phone and says Thank you James walks away, closing the door behind him. You have impeccable timing you know? he says . . . Well what happened with the game? They didnt chicken out now did they?. . . WHAT?! Tristan screams, he looks angry Youve got to be kidding me! Tell me your kidding . . . Is this one of your twisted jokes cause. . . I know, I know. . . Whatever, look Ive got to go, Ill. . . Ill see you later, bye Tristan put the phone down on the table near the door, he looked. . . pissed, yeah thats the word.

What happened? I asked. He looked at me, and then closed his eyes; I suppose hes trying to calm down.

Im out of the team

What?! Why? He loved hockey, that much I knew.

Because Bryce decided he wanted to be on the team. . . and not only that, but he wants to be captain He sighs and looks up at me, The little brat told his father who knows what about me and the prick told Vin that I go or the team wont play

I dont get it, why would Vin listen to what that kids dad says in the first play?

Mr. Pratt is owner of 51% of the clubs actions Well, that sucked.

Oh I walk over to him Well isnt there anything you can do? Im standing right in front of him now, he looks so sad. Like a puppy, his big blue eyes staring back at me, you could just eat him up.

Well, I could kill Bryce, then he couldnt play his eyes sparkle. I bet hes imagining the whole thing right now, killing that guy agonizingly slow, enjoying every moment.

But then you couldnt play either cause youd be in jail I say.

Party pooper He says, a playful grin on his face, he was trying to hide a smirk, I could tell. The right corner of his mouth was slightly twitching Thou thinking it over I cant kill him

And why is that? You dont have a gun?

First of all I wouldnt kill him with a gun he says finally giving in and smirking Id do it with a fork and a knife, very slowly I told you hed do something like that. And thats not why

And prey tell why

Well. . . He grabs my hands and pulls me towards him, catching me of guard, so now Im about an inch or two away from his face, If I kill him I cant finish what we started. . . before we were so rudely interrupted

Oh? This is one of those moments you wonder where all the words went. . .

What would you do if I kissed you, right now? An inch away

It depends

On what? he asks, moving closer

How good it is, I might cry. . .

Really, and if its good? He asks, almost into my mouth, not a second passes before he kissed me.

You know those moments where you think time is standing still? Well, Im beyond that point, Im in a place where time doesnt even exist. Corny huh? But its true. I feel every single part of me, every single molecule in my body tingling. Not at all crying material. Nope, far from it actually. You really dont want to stop once you begin, but there comes a point where if you dont, youll probably die suffocated.

We part, and he smiles. I look down at him and cant help but follow suit. He gently rubs his nose against my cheek, it tickles.

So? he asks How was that?

I smile. Well. . . pause you could do better His grin widens.

Really? I nod.

Practice makes perfect

So let the training begin

So, here I am. In a country club, waiting for him to get out of the lockers so we can go celebrate his hockey victory. Turns out That the boys on the team went on strike on the first game, they literally stood there while Bryce went bonkers trying to play by himself. They lost that game 36-0. The club had been humiliated, and no need to say that the members of the board were pissed. They confronted Mr. Pratt and had Bryce kicked off the team claming he was a disgrace for the name Pratt. They called Tristan the next day and practically begged him to come back. They havent lost a single game since, and tonight they won the cup.

Tris and I are better every day. Mom came back a week after we got together, shes still getting used to Tristan, al though he and Luke get along just fine something about baseball, really Who understands men?

Who would have thunk Id be in a loving relationship with Tristan DuGrey? Buy hey, sometimes, the best things are beyond your sight. . . you just have to look. . . and have a very nosy grandmother
