Day 1: Arrived at Rivendell today. Had to cross cold, treacherous mountains to get here. V. dull. And..... Have chapped lips! Ahh! Day 2: Council of Elrond. Elrond all right, council not so good. First my friend Aragorn was insulted by a thick skulled Man, then I was insulted by a puny, useless Dwarf. Agreed to go on a noble quest only to discover they were coming with me, along with four Hobbits (don't know what those are), Gandalf, and Aragorn. Day 6: Hobbits turned out to be small mortals (about 4 ft. tall or so) with large feet. I like Sam, the others are rather irritating. Their feet won't be very good for walking up snowy mountains, which is apparently what we're doing tomorow. I spoted Saruman's crows, proving Gimli the Dwarf wrong (intelegente, good looking Elves: 1; slow witted, useless Dwarves: 0), but they still saw us. I blame Gandalf. Old man refuses to use his happy wizard powers to speed himself up a bit. Day 7: Am only one who can walk on snow. Very annoying since the only result is they made me go ahead. Oh well, at least I didn't have to carry the Hobbits like Aragorn. Also, Boromir tried all-powerfull scary threat to take the ring stunt. Lousy and see through. Chapped lips worse, am starting to get very irritated. Reflection on sun on snow threatens sunburn. Worried. Latest: Had to go back down the mountain because some evil wizzard is causing avalanches. Day 8: Going to Moria, where the Dwarf's cousin lives. Day 10: Arrived in Moria. Pulled cool bow thing on the Watcher in the Water which was trying to eat the ring-Hobbit (Dofro? Forro?).It smashed the gates so now am stuck in stuffy caves (that has GOT to be bad for my complection!) where all of Gimli's reletives were murdered by Orcs. Hate the poor fellow a bit less now. Day 13: Found Gimli's cousin's tomb. He had a bit of a spazz attack right before we were attacked. Mussed up hair fighting, but otherwise everything is all right. Day 13 (later): Gandalf fell off bridge fighting a Balrog! Am very sad, partly because I thought he couldn't die. Quite a shock! Day 14: Arrived at Lothlorien. Galadriel prettier then me, hate her. Went and talked about Gandalf, didn't understand most of it. Day 15: Left Lothlorien in boats, going towards the sea. Yea! Downside is have to share boat with Gimli who is too short to paddle. Day 18: Stopped near the Argonanth because Aragorn wanted to stare at them for long periods of time. Very dull. Attacked by multitudes of Orcs. Did not tell Aragorn "I told you so" because he was sad about Boromir dying. Poor fellow. Sam and the ring-Hobbit have escaped 'safely' to Mordor. Am going with Aragorn and Gimli after Merry and Pippin who have been captured. The Hobbits are still small and irritating, but they sort of grow on you. |
