The agents
had lost them, Pute reported in a while. The guys
cheered wildly and fived each other in the back of their
Cessna, well,
if you include bumping naked butts as fives. They sure
do, you
know.
The suits
in the Cheyenne had flown on to Glasgow to wait for
instructions after checking out the Atlantic crash site
with their night
vision goggles on. They had looked for survivors as long
as their fuel
had allowed, and had reported the small oil slick and
debris, but were
leaving open the possibility that it had been a ruse.
It would be
checked more in the morning by others, assuming good
enough
weather. The storms had blocked out most of the Eagle's
infrared on
their passage to Norway, but the guys' lower power settings
had
sealed the deal, though only IR experts would have known
that. It
had been one of Kit's better guesses of late.
Then, as our
trio enjoyed a little more sex back in the Cessna,
Kit put Pute onto another chore and, within the hour,
they flew on
to Copenhagen and parked right next to, then quickly
boarded the
Gulfstream IV that Puto had chartered to take them to
Italy.
At their behest,
Ingrid, their new, beautiful-knock-out-29-year-
old-blond-crack pilot, took one of Kit's bogus-but-good-paying
credit
cards into the FBO office to pay the Eagle's fuel and
tie-down bills
in advance, then rejoined them out in the jet to get
the heck going.
They were
in the clear, Puter informed them, as they taxied.
But he mentioned all the initials looking for a piece
of their hides -
FAA, FBI, NSA, CIA, DIA, NRO, Treasury, ATF, Interpol
and the
rest. His Chipness also relayed from "The Girl" (Cygirl)
that the IRS
was starting procedures for an audit of the Truchas corporations.
So
Flee e-mailed BR and Kit called Jul and Ri to tell them
that news.
And the FAA was already inspecting Rockhead and North
Air also
came in from "Reality Boy" before they hit the air.
"Aw SHIT!" Jess
let out from the captain's seat, Ingrid
copiloting for her, as they took off to the East, then
headed South.
Everyone else
yelled in unison, "WHAT?!?!"
"I forgot
to call Mom!"
Well, Jess
did call home as Ingy taxied them in on their first
stop: Berlin. They had decided to make short hops on
the way. They
were still into any edge they could create. And Ing could
and would
say that she dropped them off somewhere other than Italy.
She,
naturally, had taken an immediate strong liking to our
three. And
those feelings were innately from-the-git mutual.
Jessy did
not tell Ginny about the trouble. She told her where
they were, though, and some about Washington. Felecia
called home
too and got chewed way to hell, her parents just livid
that she could
not have seen them when Jess and she were in town, besides
hearing
from Ginny about Kit. Flee strongly and heartfully apologized
and
tried to explain. And Jessy seconded it all for her best
friend's cause
and fate. And that calmed Flece's folks down. Some. Barely.
Then our three
called all the "kids", who were still working the
demonstrations in D.C., and they and the demonstrations
were going
equally strong. They next called Denali, to check on
the FAA's
progress, or lack of. The guys there were doing just
great and dealing
just fine with the predicament, Wiley and Orville in
close touch with
their FAA and ex-war hero buds on the matter. And the
ole guys
wanted more ole planes.
Meanwhile,
Putey found a Learjet sitting around in Athens to
buy and made the arrangements to have it delivered to
Bari, Italy.
Then they learned from "Lapmeister" that their Eagle
had been
found and was being staked out in Copenhagen, and agents
searching the city for them. P also reported that the
WPG had filed
the suit in the World Court, plus in all of the supreme
courts in the
world. And our guys flew on to Austria, Kit falling asleep
on the
way while working with Pute. The girls went on about
how cute he
looked. O yeah. Right.
On the ground
in Vienna, they sent money to their missions
and the funds after checking their finances, doing well
themselves
in the market and Alaska, and got Pute onto ordering
medicine and
food and stuff to fly into Sarajevo from Bari. And they
flew on to
Rome. Then to Bari.
