Chapter 1
She had been working for 4 hours straight tonight, she was extra tired. She sat down in a booth near by that she recently cleaned with her soapy cloth. Benji would be picking her up in about 10 minutes, all she wanted was a hug, from someone strong enough to take all the pain away.
'London?' Nick the manager hollered her way. 'Can I talk to you for a second?'
She mopishly got up and headed he's way. 'Yup?'
'London, is your boyfriend picking you up today?'
'Yah why?'
'I rather have him not pick you up after work, theres customers around.'
'That doesn't make sense.'
'Explain what doesn't make sense Lond.'
'Benji hasn't done anything to anyone, why should he stop picking me up, is it because of the way he looks?' He didn't answer her but it was clearly visible she was right. 'Nick, he won't stop picking me up, he's my only ride, he's my boyfriend, and just because of the way he looks doesn't mean he's gonna stop.'
'So he's not going to stop?'
'No....'
'Then you'll be the one leaving.'
'What?'
'I'm firing you London.'
'That's not fair.'
'It is, come by tomorrow to get your paycheck.' With that said he left her there standing in shock.
On her way out she picked up her jacket, she saw the van pull up front and Benji walk out.
'Hey whats wrong?' He wrapped he's arms around her.
'Nothing.'
'Are you sure?' She pushed away and nodded. 'There something wrong, why won't you tell me.'
'Theres nothing wrong Benji! God lets just go!' She opened the side door of the van and climbed in to sit beside Joel. She looked out the window to see Benji standing there in confusion. He's experssion changed rapedly.
'Fine!' He opened the passenger seat door, got in and slammed it. 'Go.'
By now London had begun to cry. Billy who was in the drivers seat looked towards her, 'Hey you ok?'
'Just go Billy!' Benji crossed he's arms, and looked out the window.
'Hey are you ok?' Joel touched London's arm.
'Joel, Leave her alone!' Benji's angry tone shocked the whole van. London shook her head and ran out the van. 'What the fuck is your problem Benj!'
'She won't tell me whats wrong, when I asked she said nothing, What the fuck am I soppose to do?'
'Your a loser, go do something!' He opened the door, climed out and slammed it shut. He headed out to London standing alone, back against the van hugging her shoulders.
'I swear if he doesn't hug her or something Im gonna beat the shit out of him.' Joel sat there watching Benji's every move.
'Leave me alone Benj!' She started walking away. He grabbed her arm and swung her around, he grabbed onto her wrists tightly, scaring her. Her eyes widened at he's fierce face.
'What the hell is going on London?'
Chapter 2
Staring at him she pulled her arms free.
“Just leave me alone ok. I’m sick of people treating others differently because of the way they look. I’m sick of working and getting nowhere. And I’m sick of trying hard to pull my life together and getting nowhere. I want a normal life for once.” Her throat felt sore and her eyes watered. But she was stronger than that; biting them back she looked up defiantly. “I’m sick of working for something between us and getting nothing back.” Looking up into his eyes she saw a glimmer of pain.
“I thought you knew how I felt.” Turning his back slightly he looked unsure. “I would fight to the death for you, I would give up almost anything for you.”
“Then give up the band and this stupid dream you have, you won’t make it.” He turned swiftly back, his eyes fired up and a temper raising that could match hers.
“Your asking me something you know I can’t do. How many times do you want me to break your heart over this? You said you would support me, please don’t force me to make a decision between my friends and the girl I love.” She faced him head on.
“Then don’t bother, I can make the decision right now for you.” The band watched on in horror from the car as they saw the fight sprawled out of the sidewalk, the couple was in a heated argument, both of them more than a match for the other. Words floated through the windows but no one quite heard what they said.
“Come on Benj, just kiss her.” Joel sat in the seat, biting his lip nervously. He whispered it, knowing that to Benji, London meant a lot. She was the thing holding him together right now and without her he couldn’t see anything working out.
“London, I love you. Do the words mean nothing to your ears?” She looked crushed slightly, her face blushing slightly red. Both of them stood so near to each other and the atmosphere around they was tentative and hesitant.
“They mean everything Benj, it’s what keeps me holding on.” There was a falter in her voice and both of them linked eyes, never leaving the other. Staring into her bright green eyes, he was captivated by them. Her black silky hair was strewn across her face and he couldn’t help himself but to pull back the strands hanging over eyes, stopping his from seeing the never ending twinkle in them. Catching her cheek in his hand, he stepped into her body space, their hips touching, leaning forward he lightly pressed his pierced lip to hers. Opening her mouth slightly, she reached out to touch her tongue to his, her tongue darting in and out, using the little stud in her mouth to tease him. Wrapping her hand round his head she deepened the kiss, letting her tongue roam his mouth she tasted a mix of cigarette smoke and mint as he had tried to cover the taste. Sucking slightly on his lip he groaned and she pulled away smiling.
“Now why didn’t you do that earlier?” She raised an eyebrow and laughed at him.
“I could say the same for you.” A grin spread across her face as she said it and leaned in for another kiss.
He grabbed onto her waist and walked back to the van. The guys inside started a fast conversation so they wouldn't have noticed they were spying on them.
"Shit shit," Joel hit paul accross the chest "Say something funny Paul!"
"Ow dude, that hurt!" The side door opened and Joel brust out laughing, while everyone starred.
"Whats so funny Joel?" London looked he's way.
"Urm.. Paul.. Haha, He got hurt... Right Paul?" He gave him a glance and went back to a fake laugh.
"Ya..." She sat back down, confused and starring at Paul who was rubbing he's chest. Joel leaned over to he's brother and whispered into he's brother ear,
"For a second there I thought I was going to have to pretend to be you and kiss the damn girl for you, you do go the long way round" Benji grinned and srunk down in the passenger's seat as Billy started up the van.
Chapter 3
He slide the palm of he's hand over the curve of my hip. Our faces so close, I almost can't breathe. Our lips touch, it's different, it's so different, it's not like anything I ever knew or felt before... or knew I wanted so bad.
"Benj..."I mumble against he's lips, I swallow. Tossing my black hair around my neck, he slowly pulls my shirt off my body, myself watching he's every move. He kisses me hungrily but never pushing me to move faster. He's breath becomes fiercer every move of my hand across he's bold chest. The feeling in my stomach as he carefully pulls down my jeans, he's hands like ice against my thighs.
My back pressed against the bed, the silk material surrounding my bare skin. Light coming from the slightly open window, and into my eyes. The sun sinking. Bright pink. Deep Blue. Then gone. He's body motions forward then back. Slowly, then harder and faster. Your body tenses as you come; you lay against my pleasured body. You hands immediately touching my hot cheek. Leaning in. Wanting this moment to last forever. My heart fills when you look at me and smile. The way your hair smells- like heat and something metallic, unfamiliar.
It rains outside the window-hard, heavy drops. Its spring and the room is cold. I shiver and move an inch closer to he's body.
"I love you." He's voice slips around those meaningful words, softening them, slowing them down. He's hand slightly touches my arm, warmer then anything I'd ever felt before. He smiles before I close my eyes, he's hands not leaving my body.
Waking up in the morning, in he's bedroom, I felt cared for. Free. And so, so sure. The wind blows hard into the room, I feel scared and excited all at once. Then I realise it's a new day, the passion of last nights events gone. I hear the phone ring, and then he's voice. Confused. Annoyed. I sit up to the sound of he's feet down walking to where I sat. He sits near my body; I feel the angry but say nothing.
"Why didn't you say anything about getting fired?" He's enraged eyes looking back my way.
"What are you talking about?" If he only knew why.
"You know exactly what I'm talking about. Did you feel like you couldn't tell me?"
"Just forget about it, I got fired, no big deal." I slide off the side of the bed, my feet touching the wooden tiles of he's room as I made my way into the bathroom.
I opened it slightly and peered out to him. "I just didn't." I looked towards my feet.
"Something’s up." He pressed he's hand against my chin to face him.
"Do you ever want to disappear, Benji?"
"No not really..." A confused look crawled over he's angry face.
"To be everywhere at one time. Invisible sometimes. But not always. To step out of your body. To see who you are from a distance?"
"That’s just strange, London."
"I know how to do it." I slide my way out of he's view.
