Barn owls have to be my favorite owl.� They, like many raptors, are found in most parts of the world.� They have been known by many names including, Monkey-faced Owl, Ghost Owl, Death Owl, Delicate Owl, and Silver Owl, to name a few.� Barn owls have a large facial disk which is thought to help channel sound to its ears.� Studies have found that barn owls can catch prey in complete darkness, using only their ears to guide them.� They are mostly cavity nesters and will take up residence in buildings, cliffs and trees.
