ROYAL NAVAL ASSOCIATION YEOVIL BRANCH
TRAFALGAR NIGHT DINNER

For the second year running, the Yeovil Branch of the Royal Naval Association held their Trafalgar Night dinner at the Skittles Restaurant.  Last year it was held on the 2Oth of October, the nearest Friday to the 21st but this year, owing to the late opening after the fire, it was unanimously decided by the Branch that we would wait a little longer and have a combined Trafalgar Night-cum-Christmas dinner since the last one was such a success.
The dinner was held on the 24th

of November, twenty-nine members, wives and friends attended and we believe it to have been our best one yet.
Now for the commercial - we meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 20.00 at the Old Barn Club.  If you are ex Royal Navy or a serving member you are welcome to come along and give it a try, or call me, Frank Kime on 862493.

WEST COKER BROWNIES

The West Coker Brownies have had a busy Autumn term with District and Divisional events as well as regular Pack Nights and village events.
Five of the Pack took part in the Yeovil Divisional Guide Show which was a great success and was enjoyed by the rest of the Pack who went to watch..
The District 'American Night' was great fun with theme based costumes, art and crafts, line dancing, hot dogs and popcorn!
Our harvest gathering resulted in produce and money donations which we gave to the Yeovil Night Shelter and we also took part in the local Remembrance Day Services, Scout Carol Service and the Scout and Guide Christmas Bazaar.

The Brownies have been busy on Pack nights working towards their World, Cooks, Hostess and House Orderly Badges, preparing for Christmas and their annual play: 'Baboushka'
The term finished with a joint Christmas Party with the Rainbows and we are looking forward to a trip to the Pantomime in the New Year.
Thank you for the generous donations to Pack funds following village events.
The new term begins on Tuesday 9th January - girls between 6¾ and 11 interested in joining will be welcome, please contact 'Brown Owl' on 863539.
For information about Rainbows (girls aged 5 - 7 years) ring
'Twilight' on 862493.
