dren about various things that a Policeman does, a discussion on Road safety and about NOT talking to strangers or accepting rides.  Of course this did not include our policeman who the children readily accepted as a friend.  In conclusion, he took them (in two batches) around the field in his car with lights flashing and sirens sounding.  His visit was much appreciated and the children thoroughly enjoyed it.
Our term came to an end with a Teddy Bears picnic, a joint evening with the Brownies, who all

enjoyed the picnic (indoors because of rain) with their teddies.  At the end of the evening three children made their promises and became members of the world of Guiding.
Next term starts on September 13th.  We meet on Thursdays from 5.45 to 7.OOpm at the Scout and Guide HQ on the Recreation Field, Halves Lane.  There is a waiting list for membership but for further information please contact the Rainbow Guider -Chris Kime - Tel: 862493
