Jen Cass/ "Skies Burning Red"/ sonicbids/

With the release of "Skies Burning Red", produced by John Jennings (you immediately expect a good bot of great music, wich is more than that), Jen Cass is clearly set to take her place among great singer/songwriters of this timer. The new album was recorded by Bob Dawson (Mary Chapin Carpenter, Dave mattews Band, Cheryl Wheeler) and futuring several members of Mary chapin carpenters band. "Skies..." is a beautifulalbum with strong passionated songs of broken American Souls. She paints these heart-breaking songs of lives gone wrong like nobody else. Jen Cass plays original folk, pop and country-songs.
I'm sure you will like this nice looking girl, the first you hear her voice.

Eric Athey/ pen House/ March Brown Music/

"Open House" is the debuut release from singer/songwriter Eric Athey. Eric recorded his album live over 4-days in August 2003 in a former Babtist Church in Newfield, NY with band members recruited from among
friends and strangers. On this album youhear some good American-Roots-Rock music with beautiful guitar, lapsteel and dobro music.
His songs covers all of the stops along the way, ranging from anger, regret, shame and resentment to penance, hope, relief and resolve. Highlights are the bittersweet, melodic "Did I Break Your Heart Tonight", the restrained "Habits Die Slow", "Don't Have To Be Alone",
and "Home Tonight".
"Open House" is a strong, beautiful Americana, Roots-Rock album with beautiful songwriting and unique roots-rock sound.
A very recommended album.
