She has played with different power-pop bands in Australia before making her own music and songs and learned much about power-rock, jazz, blues and alt-country. Staying in Los Angeles, McCue completed her album "Amazing Ordinary Things" wich eventually was released in Canada and most recently in Japan. Blue Ridge � Side By Side (Sugar Hill) Blue Ridge�s �Side by Side� will not only attrack the fans of traditional bluegrass, but also those who like the more modern bluegrass approach. References to the legendary Stanley Brothers but also to J.D. Crowe, Doyle Lawson or Ricky Skaggs. Outstanding are the wonderful harmony singing combined with the breath-taking instrumentation. | Luba Dvorak/ "Parts For Sale"/ Outlaw Entertainment/ Luba Dvorak is a well known singer/songwriter from Vancouver Canada who released a few albums with loud rock, roots-rock and outlaw country influences. He was born in Brno, Cezch Republic and immigrated with his parents and brother to Canada. After his solo acoustic tour of Europe in the winter of 2001 he recorded a fine rootsy-Americana country-rock album "Parts For Sale". This guy writes his songs on the road. The recording, it's all live off the flor with pedal steel, banjo, dobro and mandolin. There are influences from Wilco, The Supersuckers, Jayhawks and Steve Earl. Hopefully we can see this guy with band soon on one of The Netherlands great Roots Fesdtivals as there are "Blue Highways" and " Take Roots".
