The Tennessee Boltsmokers/ Songs From The Floor/
MadJack Records

The T.B. are a Memphis based band around singer/songwriter Mark McKinney (Pawtuckets) along with seasoned bluegrass musicians Eric Lewis, Andy Ratliff and Todd Cook. These guys brings us a beautiful mixture of contemporary Americana, folk and bluegrass music.
This is real heartfelt, roots-based music, with great vocal harmonies, with an eye and appreciation for contemporary music in a fresh and interesting light, and the best of bluegrass music I've heard in month's.
The Tennessee Boltsmokers are a band who must come over to Europe to "Take Root" ore "Blue Highways" Festival in the Netherlands. I don't want to miss them.

Randy Thompson/ "That's Not Me" / Jackpot/Leaps Records

"That's Not Me" is the third album from Nashville singer/songwriter Randy Thompson. His music is a very good mix of country, Americana and alt-country.
As always Randy brings body-and-soul songwriting and honky- tonk driven style. He knows how to writes a heartfelt song.
His songs are brilliant portrayals of loss, hope, acceptance, and regret. Listening to this guy is a very interresting musical journey in country-music world. You will love his music much as I do.

"An American Starlet" /The Duches Of Hazard" /
Shut Eye Records

This is a haunting blend of country-rock and blues album.
Ian Parks is the founding member singer/songwriter of the band together with vocalist Liz Green they brings us beautiful harmonies, not to mention her solo numbers too.
The musical soundscape is at once compelling and varied real Americana, alt-country music reminisent of greats such as
Cowboy Junkies, Gillian Welch, Emmylou Harris, Gram Parson, Steve Earl and more.
"The Duches Of Hazard" is a great collection of songs about the tragic beauty of life and love, with beautiful pedal steel work "Half A Heart", the hammond organ and electric guitar-fueled "Qreen Elisabeth".
I highly recommend this one.
