Randy Rogers Band Like it used to be

New Texas Country like Reckless Kelly and Cross Canadian Ragweed. Name it traditional country mixed with rock elements, generating a great blend using pedal steel and electric guitars. They vary mid-tempo songs with ballads. All songs are written or co-written by Randy except for Copano bay by Eddie Foster. The band consists of Randy Rogers(lead vocals and guitar), Hector Del Toro(drums), Taylor Neese(bass and harmony vocals), Eddie Foster(pedal steel) and Geoff Hill(lead guitar). Libbi Bosworth and Adam Carroll guest.  Its difficult to name highlights because there isnt any filler on this cd.  Recommended to all Texas country-rock fans.

Rainville-"The Longest Street in America"

If you like original Americana-rootsrock music, you must listen to Rainville from Denver. There second release "The longest street in America" is even better than there debuut from 1999, "Collecting Epmties".
The inspiration of the songs and music comes from there spiritual home Colfax Avenue, for this guys the most beautiful place in Colorado.
You can listen to Rainville over and over again, they never bore.
I can't tell you which song is highlighted because I like them all.
"American music..gritty rural rock mixed with swampy blues, old-school country-rock and gutter jazz"

Bill Chambers, "Sleeping With The Blues"

We know the Chambers family for a longtime now. For me, they are still one of Australia's best country-rockers. They have several great albums under the name "The Dead Ringer Band". On this moment Kasey, Bill's Daughter, is one of the most popular artists in Australia and America.
Now after so many years father Bill has released his first solo album "Sleeping With The Blues".
12 beautiful songs with a little help from mother Diane, daughter Kasey and well known son and producer Nash Chambers. While most of the songs are Bill's own, there are exceptional covers of "
I drink" written by Mary Gauthier and Fred Eaglesmith's "Big Ass Garage Sale"
I don't have to tell you more because this album is a MUST. You don't have to hear it you only have to buy it.
"The sounds of the night ring out like a spanish guitar And I'm back in her arms in those Texas cantinas and bars Now the bright lights of Austin They're someting I wish I could see And I'm dreaming 'bout Texas Wondering if she ever thinks of me"

The Americanos- The Americanos

Dallas, Texas- After several painstaking months of recording, The Americanos, an alt.Country/Rock & Roll band, have released their first recording, the selftitled ER, "The Americanos". Withthe help of local Dallas/Fort Worth engineers Curtis Box and Mark Murray, five tracks were cut that show off the band's distinctive vocal harmonies, songwriting chops and brash energy.
The band is made up of Chris Gonzalez on lead vocals and guitar, Travis Hopper on lead guitar and vocals, Tre Doss on bass and vocals, and Jarad Brown on drums. All four bring their own distinct influence to the tabele wich gives us a fresh sound with tremendous energy and honest, heartfelt lyrics.
We can hardly waith to hear more of this guys.
