Sploder Game Maker
Whilst Googling around for tutorials on how to make flash games, movies, etc. for promoting this site with
better quality stick figure movies, I found....
Sploder!
Sploder is a free, online program that allows the absolute beginner (like me) to produce (almost) noteworthy games.
Once your game is made, you can 'publish' them to their server, and from there, you can use the provided code for website embedding, forum posting, etc.
Please note that, although impressive, Sploder is somewhat limited in the sophistication of the games it can make, and the maker is limited to only the game objects they provide.

Hexagonal Hamsterball is the most beginner-friendly game I've made... most of my games are designed for people who know the basic controls of their spaceship.
My younger brother (DarthReese) has made a few games himself.
