A New World Order

Once in a blue moon, something huge happens. May it be the formation of this world, to the big bang that wiped out dinosaurs. Maybe it was the super volcano at YellowStone national park that contributed to the last ice age, or was it the invention of the wheel? Today is the day the next world changing event happens.

The wheels were set in motion some time back, and last week the two parties met face to face for the first time. A tough negotiation took place, people left happy, others left sad. But most were in awe. Even the local drinking establishment recognised something special was in the air.
"He's here" they were heard to say.
"Thats him, the one in the suit".
News spread. He sat beside the river in order to prevent himself getting surrounded on all sides. But as the day passed, the crowds scattered and 'the man' was allowed go about his business in peace. Even the bookies marvelled at how easy he gave money away. Unfortunately, the unfancied "Here Comes Harry" couldn't get some of the power being generated by 'the man's' very presence.

The Nissan Micra got a taste of the magic, as did the car's unwitting owner. Even a young Polish girl was told tales of the genius that was in her very area. News travels fast, but not fast enough as 'the man' was gone before the Polish girl got to where he was. But she knew something special had been there. She felt something missing in her life. Something she never knew even existed. Limerick could also face this problem soon. They worry about Dell leaving - this is worse. It's always the quiet ones. You don't know they are there, but the work they do keeps things running. It could all end in tears - but will they know what the tears are for?

So news that is sure to rock Limerick to the core, and bring Athlone out of the dark days kicking, screaming and tingling with anticipation, Eric & Son have just asked to ring 'the mans' referee's and for him to undergo a medical.

The wheels are in motion, only a tool of a referee or a failed medical can prevent the new world order.
