New Year Stuff
So where did you celebrate the arrival of 2004? Had you a good night? I had an average night. I went playing music, and there was free beer so I was happy enough. But what will 2004 bring? Last year was very interesting, we had a war, a savage earthquake and a shuttle blew up. It was a good year for the news. As for my memories, there isn't any of interet. The year will be remembered by me for one thing, working in Dell. Don't ever do it, it was shit. 2004 will see me finishing up in college, after 4 years of ups and downs. The burning question on all our lips is will any of us get a job. Chances are we won't, and if thats the case, does any of us really want to go do a masters? Once again, the answer must be no. So it looks like the 4 years spent in LIT will be of little use.
All going well, I'll head back to Limerick next week. I intend to do some dissertation work but that probably won't happen. I'm looking forward to going back though, there isn't much to do at home. For the Christmas holidays, I never got up earlier than half ten, its usually 11. Once out of bed, there does be a fry up prepared and I eat that, before heading into play on my computer. I bought the new Championship Manager game before Christmas, so that is what I spent endless hours doing. I've 5 seasons done during the holidays. I also got a loan of The Sims. This is a feckin savage game. Basically you create a family, and control them. Its not as easy as it sounds because they have to be kept happy and its not a task to be taken lightly. I created JP, Pecker and myself. We were all doing fine, and then I died. I got out of bed and had a fit, then died. That left the other two to stuggle on. thay both have girlfriends, but without some cheat, they can't give love. JP has asked his bird to marry him, but she said no because she was hungry!
I've gone out a few times over the holidays too. Every time I went to Roscrea. The Stand or Delahunts was where we headed for mostly. Every night was interesting and fairly good.it was also JP's 21st over the holidays so we had a few in Roscrea for that too. I put on JP's favourite song on the jukebox that night. He loves 'White Flag' from Dido. JP believes that should be song of the year instead of 'Mandy' from Westlife.
I don't have anything else to say really. I'm going to look at the darts on telly in a few minutes. I'm a big fan of the darts and I've seen nearly all the games so far in the tournament. I reckon Phil 'The Power' Taylor will win it this year for the 11th time in his career, but ya never know.
Anyways, enjoy the rest of your holidays.
