| So the first weekof the 2nd term is just about over. And its been a largely uneventful few days. I left my home in Borris-In-Ossory on Monday evening, and arrived in my home in Limerick, also on Monday evening. I brought loads of stuff back, so my mother kindly said she'd travel for the spin and bring the car home. That saved a trip on a bus, and I was delighted because I hate buses. Once in Limerick, and after I got my gear sorted back into the wardrobe, we went for food - Chinese food it was. And it was lovely. After that, a night in front of the telly was on the cards. It was around this time, we were informed about Dave missing his bus. He waited on Monday evening for a bus that went Sunday. TOOL is the word for him. And for some strange reason, I think it was thr 25 that Dave promised him, Joe drove to Athlone to collect the gimp. And when there we collected a stone. And in the interest of not boring you to pieces by repeating about the trip up and back, you can read about it here. The next day saw a return to college. I wasn't looking forward to it as there was loads of shit due up by Friday. But that wasn't done. Did shit all this week. Skipped a few lectures, a few more were called off, so most of the time was spent pricking around on the net, playing footy or else sitting at home playing Mario Kart 64. On Wednesday we had the usual 45 minutes of footy in UL. That was something we weree all looking forward to. And it was a good competitive game. Except we lost. Lost by a goal. Having said that we were much better. Our failure to win lies solely in our inability to finish chances.Putting the ball into the net should be easy but we fucked up numerous opportunities. We'll put it down to lack of practice and we will get better over the coming weeks. Nothing much happened Thursday either. Had one lecture at 9, skipped the one at 10 and I was off until half 3 then as our 1 o'clock lecture was cancelled so we could study. I was late for the half 3 meeting, so I missed that. And that left the rest of the day free. Myself and Joe had a bit of a kick around before going home. Once there we headed for a Cash & Carry. We got the loan of a retail card from Edel's old landlady. It was savage. The place was cool and everything was around half the price it is in the shops. Edel grabbed a trolly, and headed around and picked up what we wanted. Here's what we got between 5 of us: 24 can crate of Guinness 500ml cans Box of Hunky Dorys (40 packs) Box of Walkers Crisps (48 packs) Box of Apple Bon-Bons (500 sweets) Box of Creme Eggs (40 eggs) Box of Moro's (48 bars) Box of Double Deckers (48 bars) 2 bags of Marshmallows Box of Refresher's (160 bars) 6 pack of gravy Box of washing powder Bag of fish Toothbrush sweets (500 sweets) We also had a box of Chewit sweets, but when we came to pay for it, we were short so the Chewits were left back, much to Joe's disgust. The grand total of what we got was 183.42. Serious money that is. Another thing is, if your thinking of following our lead, is that the prices displayed are not correct. They add on 21% VAT at the checkout, so be careful. Once we got the stuff home, we started to divide out who owned what. It was dinner time then, and that was followed by looking at The Exorcist. Strange film that is. And there you have it. Nothing much else happened this week. My fued with Dave over my link disappearing is still ongoing. And Joe started his own site. And thats definately it. I might go home today, or tomorrow. Not sure yet. Have loads of sweets to eat. I'll be putting on physical weight by time there all eatin. Its a tough life. Goodluck skinny folk. |
