How was it for you?
New Years Eve and Im still alive after the Christmas. For the last week or so, Ive ate nothing much other than turkey, but I suppose everyone is the same. Apart from Dave that is who no doubt had chips, burgers and fish fingers for Christmas! I suppose turkey for a week wont kill me, and the chances of getting more of it before next Christmas is slim.

So Ive been trying to think of what to do for my last piece of 2002. And I havent figured it out yet so Ill just ramble on and see what happens. Tonight is probably going to be the busiest night of the year for pubs and the like. Luckily for me then Im playing some crap music in a community hall with no beer. Should be fun. And I wont even get paid for it. Bollox anyway. I hope everyone else rings in 2003 in style though. Ill down a cup of tea in celebration!!

This day next week Ill be back in Scumbag City for another few months. Its amazing how quickly time passed since the exams finished. I guess doing nothing for the holidays didnt help. I spent most of it playing Championship Manager. My favourite game I might add. Im just a God at it now so its getting kind a boring. I went out a few times with the boys. Mostly to Roscrea and Delahunts. Its the regular spot at this stage now. I rediscovered some of my old pool form aswell. I became the complete player over in Rathdowney the other day. I think I only lost 4 or 5 games out of about 30 in the last 2 days. We were playing doubles. Canice was with myself, while Paul was with Padraig.  We whipped them all over the shop. They hadnt a reply. So I was happy but the opposition wasnt. A split came in the ranks. It got so bad that they nearly played each other for 50. Now that would be some game. Id reckon Paul would win, so I might put a few euro on it if the game ever happens!!

Looking back on 2002, it was a fairly ok year. Apart from it been officially the wettest in God knows how long. So what did I do this year.
1.     During the year I moved house 3 times from Paulines to Sheelin Road, Sheelin Road back to Borris and then
from Borris to the gaff I inhabit now in Thomandgate.
3.     I bought a new phone because Id spent most of the year giving out about the battery in the other one.
4.     I was declared a genius  and got 650 for my troubles, and made it to 3rd year.
5.     I crashed the van and spent 800 to get it fixed. I think I got screwed.
6.     I spent a whole month sitting on my arse watching the World Cup and drinking beer.
7.     I completed nearly 90% of Crash Bandicoot in that time too.
8.     I became unbeatable at FIFA 2002 on the PS2, and nearly unbeatable at FIFA 2003 on the original playstation.
9.     I became the complete pool player.
10.    Finished with the bird after 7 months or that.
11.    And of course I started this website crap.
12.    And before I forget, I renamed Ray as Dave. That was a stroke of genius on my part too.
After that, not a whole lot happened. Nothing really sticks out anyway. All in all it was a fair funny year, and next year should be better if things continue on the way theyre going at the moment.

And what of next year? Dave has been going on about resolutions so Ill try these, but I wont stick to them so dont take them too seriously.
1.    Get to 4th year of college.
2.    Come up with a good scheme to make plenty of money.
3.    Get a good summer job that pays well and that I like.
4.    Fire off less than the current level.
5.    Try keep this website as up to date as possible.
6.    Maybe buy a PS2 if I have enough spare cash.
7.    Buy a CD Writer for my computer.
8.    And anything else that takes my fancy, like shag J Lo (not Lindy), win the lotto, etc, etc,.
9.    And not forgetting, don't crash any of our vehicles. Can't afford that again.
10

So thats it. End of 2002. End of an era. Next year is just hours away, so be good lads and lassies and have a pint or a dozen for me, and I'll sip tea for you. And remember,
"Sport hurts, so go hard, go home"

Information is power, knowledge is the bomb, and I thank you.
