History
Hard work and dedication to her music have carried Sheryl Crow from elementary school music teacher to a winner of multi grammys with over 13 million record sales to her credit.

Armed with a degree in music from the university of missouri, sheryl crow began her career in st louis where she taught during the day and performed in R&B bands at night. In 1986 she moved to los angeles determined to break into the music industry. She was working as a waitress and singing for commercials when she talked her way into an audition that landed her a job as a backing vocalist on micheal jacksons "bad" tour. That gig led to more work as a session and support musicians for artists like Don Henley, Eric Clapton, Rod Stewart, Bob Dylan, Stevie Wonder, George Harrison, Joe Cocker and Sinead O'Conner. Songs Crow wrote were recorded by performers like Bette Midler, Wynonna Judd and Eric Clapton.

In 1991 Crow signed her solo record deal with label A&M records. She decided the album slated to be her debut release was too slick and unrepresentative and persuaded the studio not to release it.

In the mean time, sheryl was performing on a Tuesday night with a group of musicians who got together to play and write songs, out of these sessions grew Tuesday Night Music Club. Released in 1993, it took of in 1994 after the release of the hit single 'All i wanna do' the album went mullti palinum and bagged crow a grammy for best new artist.

One song on the album 'We do what we can' is a tribute to a family friend. Crows father, Wendell had once played trumpet in swing bands with his close friend Leo. After Leo's sudden death Wendell Crow didnt play again untill Sheryl asked him to play trumpet on this track.

Crow toured extensively over the next 4 years, including woodstock II, opening for the eagles on their come back concerts and select dates with the rolling stones' bridges to babylon tour. Still she found time to record another album, in which she also acted as producer. SHERYL CROW was released in 1996. Supported by several hit singles " If it makes you happy", "maybe angels", "A change (would do you good)", and "Everyday is a winding road"- That album also went multi platinum
and won a grammy for best rock album in 1996.

To record her next album The globe sessions- which she also self-produced- crow moved to new york and set up her own studio. "The songs are certainly more personaly than ive done before" says Sheryl on her website " kind of  like standing on stage naked". Released in 1998 the album won a grammy for best rock album, it was rereleased in 1999 with the addition of "sweet child of mine" which crow recorded for the soundtrack of the Adam Sandler film "Big Daddy"

Crow topped of 1999 with a perfomance in central park. The album from that concert is appropriately titled, Sheryl Crow and friends live in Central park. Those friends included Eric Clapton, The Dixie Chicks, Chrissie Hynde, Sarah Mclachlan, Stevie Nicks and Keith Richards. In March of 2000, she received a grammy for best female vocal performance for "sweet child of mine". She returned for another grammy in 2001, as there goes the neighborhood received the award for best female rock performance.

Her next album "c'mon c'mon is to be released soon and we hope it will have the same amount of success as it diserves.

C'mon C'mon was a great success across the world with the hit singles Soak up the sun and Steve Mcqueen.
