HEATING AND COOLING IN ROCKS
| 1 | The sun is directly on the rock during the day, this makes the rock get very hot. |
| 2 | The intense heat from the sun causes the particle which make up the rock expand. |
| 3 | The rock starts to crumble because the particles have broken up. |
| 4 | This continues over millions of years and at the end you are left with sand. |
