BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

All kindergarten children may celebrate, but celebrations are optional. Please let me know the day before you send in a treat. Munchkins, cupcakes, cookies, granola bars, party favors, stickers, etc... are some examples. (Treats do not have to be edible.) Summer birthdays will be celebrated towards the end of the year. A specific date will be specified.

CALENDAR

Please follow the Chist The King school calendar for early dismissals, holidays and special events.

COMMUNICATIONS

Communication is essential between parents/gaurdians and the teacher. There will be formal conferences and opportunities for informal meetings to discuss your child's progress in kindergarten. Parents/Gaurdians should feel free to contact me by letter to request an informal meeting before or after school. Newsletters will be sent home throughout the year to keep you informed about classroom events.

BUISNESS FOLDER

Each child will be given a folder labeled with a return and take home side. Important communications will be placed in this folder. Please check the folders each evening to see your child's work and to read any messages. Please teach your child to bring your notes and messages to school in the same folder. All notes and messages will be handed in first thing in the morning.

SCHOOL BAG

A sturdy school bag or backpack with proper identification will be needed. Please be sure it is large enough to hold a folder and copybook.

SNACK TIME/ LUNCH TIME

Lunch boxes should be clearly labeled with your child's name. Each child must carry a dishtowel and a napkin. If your child is bringing a thermos, please teach your child how to handle it. Your child should have enough to eat and drink for both snack and lunch.

LUNCH FEE

There is a fee required for any child who is staying for lunch. A lunch form will be sent home to you from the main office.

STATIONARY SUPPLIES

A stationary fee of $60.00 is required for each child attending Kindergarten. The fee may be paid in two payments: $30.00 due by October 1st - $30.00 due by February 1st. (See School Supplies)

UNIFORMS

There is a uniform required for Kindergarten children. The Christ the King gym uniform is to be worn DAILY. This is a light blue t-shirt or navy blue sweatshirt and blue sweatshorts or sweatpants.
