"William E. Tallman, 77, died at his home, 143 Wallace Ave., late Sat after suffering a heart attack while shoveling snow in front of his home.
Mr Tallman was machine shop foreman at the W.A. Riddell Corp. when he retired in 1947. He was a member of First Methodist Church.

The victims were: Robert Etsinger, 30, .... and Paul Edward Tallman, 29, of 143 Wallace ave _____ a former Marion resident.
Earl Tallman, brother of Paul, was able to cling to the side of the boat until help arrived.
The three men had gone to near Fremont to try out a new motor ____ boat. According to relatives, _____ the boat struck some unidentified object and immediately overturned.
Two of the men disappeared beneath the surface and did not reappear. Whether they were knocked unconscious or injured when the boat capsized in not known....
Paul Edward Tallman was born ____y 6, 1910 at Marion to William and Leta Tallman, who survive. Also surviving are the brother ____ and a sister Mrs Gertrude McDougal, both of Bucyrus.
Mr Tallman was a member of Knights of Pythias at Marion and was bapt. at the Presby. church in Marion.

"Bellefontaine- Dr. Lee E. Traul, 83, a retired physician and health commissioner in the Miami Valley for many years, died in his sleep early Thursday in his home in Middleburg. He retired on Sep 10, 1959, after more than 54 years in the medical profession.
Mr. Traul was Logan County Health Commissioner for 23 years and health commissioner for 14 years for a combined unit for Shelby and Logan Counties.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church; the Kiwanis Club, Elks and Masonic Lodges in Bellefontaine and the Antioch Temple of the Shrine in Dayton.
Services will be at 2pm Sat in the Kennedy Funeral Home, Bellfontaine.

"Bellefontaine- Dr. John B. Traul, 53, well-known surgeon and obstetrician, died of a heart attack early Sunday while watching television at his home on Rt 47, northeast of here.
The physician had not been ill recently. He maintained a practice here 17 years, with offices on East Sandusky Street. He was head of the obstetrical department at Mary Rutan Hospital.
Dr. Traul, a native of Middleburg, was graduated in 1932 from Ohio Wesleyan University and from the Ohio State University Medical School in 1936.
His early medical practice was in West Virginia, near Wheeling. He was the son of the late Dr. L. E. Traul of Middleburg who served 40 years as Logan County health commissioner.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma, two sons, John M. and Richard S. Traul, both students at Ohio State University, two daughters Mrs. Philip Moffitt of Marion and Susan Traul, student at Ohio State University; his mother and a brother, Dr Robert E. Traul of Findlay.
Services will be at 2pm Tuesday in the Eichholtz Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bellfontaine Cemetery.

"Frank Trautman, 86, of W Warren St., Bucyrus died at 6:50 Monday night in Bucyrus Community Hospital. He was admitted to the hospital Nov 29 and death was attributed to a stroke.
Mr Trautman was born 8 Aug 1872, in Bucyrus to George and Catherine Becker Trautman. His first marriage was to Ada Landis who died. On Aug 31, 1946, he married Nora Rettig who survives. Also surviving is a stepdaughter.... For many years Mr Trautman worked as a plasterer. He also owned and operated a neighborhood grocery store. He was a lifetime resident of Bucyurs. "Galion- Sep 5- Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Tupps __ wife of Homer Tupps of five miles west of Galion were held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Snyder funeral home. The Rev. R. R. Elliker pastor of the First Reformed Church officiated. Interment was made in the Fairview cemetery.
Mrs. Tupps died suddenly Saturday morning at the home west of Galion. Surviving besides the husband are one son Iver Tupps of west of Galion and one grandchild." Marion Star, 8 Sep 1936
"Bucyrus- An illness of nearly one year the last three months of which he was bedfast caused the death late Wednesday of Tyra T. Tupps at his home, 919 Earl Street.
Born in Chatfield June 27, 1867, he was the son of Dr. Urias and Mellissa Jones Tupps. He was a painter.
Surviving are his widow, the former Sophia Hildebrand, to whom he was married February 10, 1887; four sons, Walter, Dallas and Donald Tupps of Mansfield, and Anthony of Liberty Township.
He was a member of Good Hope Lutheran church, where services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock following services at the home at 1:30 o'clock. Rev. H. H. Glick, church pastor, will officiate and burial will be made in the Roop cemetery." Mansfield News Journal, 10 Apr 1936
"Galion- William L. Tupps, a former Galion resident, died in Aurora, Colorado, after suffering a stroke one week ago.
While living at Galion he was a Wheatstone [sic] township trustee and appraiser. Two years ago Mr. Tupps moved to Colorado to make his home.
Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Miss Bessie Tupps of Aurora, and Mrs. Walter Vail of Fredericktown; two sons, Lester and Harold both of Colorado; and a brother, Homer Tupps, west of Galion.

"Bucyrus-- Joseph H. Ulmer, 88, died early this morning at his home, 412 Hopley Ave., after suffering a stroke yesterday.
He was born Dec 7, 1863 in Bucks Co., PA and lived in Bucyrus most of his life. He operated a grocery store here for a number of years. His wife, Flora, died in Jan 1951.
Mr Ulmer last year donated $30,000 to the Oakwood Cem Assn. for the building of a chapel at the cemetery. He was gave $2000 to the Bucyrus City Hosp.

"Bucyrus-- Mrs Flora Blanch Ulmer, 79, died at 3 pm Friday in her home at 712 Rogers St. She had been in failing health for three years. A native of Liberty Tp., Mrs Ulmer was a lifelong Crawford Co. resident. Mrs ulmer attended old Ada Normal School and taught rural schools in this county 12 years before her marriage.

"MARCENIA E. ULMER Marcenia E. Ulmer, 84, of Bucyrus died Sunday, April 22, 2001, at Marion General Hospital.
She worked as a registered nurse for 37 years in Bucyrus, Galion and Crestline and was the first nurse at Rosewood Manor and Fairview Manor. She was the first school nurse at Colonel Crawford High School in Bucyrus, where she started the Candy Stripers program which became the Future Nurses Club. She was a 1934 graduate of North Robinson High School and a 1937 graduate of Mount Carmel School of Nursing. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, the Fellowship Sunday School class, the United Methodist Women, Farm Bureau Council and American Nurses Association. She enjoyed sewing, music, reading scripture and growing plants. She was born July 22, 1916, in Crawford County to the late Lucius E. & J. Arminta Roston Kepler. She is survived by her husband, James E. Ulmer whom she married March 17, 1940; a son, James Daniel (Linda) Ulmer of Marysville; a daughter, Marica Kay (W. James) Weir of Marion; four grandchildren, Michele Ulmer and Kayla Ulmer of Marysville and Laura Weir and Sarah Weir of Columbus; and a sister, Dorothy (Harold) Pollock of Bucyrus.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Grace United Methodist Church. The Rev. Millard Mead will officiate and burial will be at Union Cemetery. Friends may call any time after noon Wednesday at the Wise Funeral Home, 129 W. "Bert H. Volk, 73, of Leesville, retired employee of the Burch Co. at Crestline, died Thur at 12:25 in his home. He had been ill one year.
Born in Crawford Co., May 29, 1886, he was a son of John and Phoebe Herr Volk. He was married Dec 23, 1908 to Bessie Shumaker who survives.
Surviving with his widow are a daughter, Mrs harry Allbaugh of mansfield, 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Mr Volk retired in 1957 from the Burch foundry.
