"The funeral of Mrs. William Nagel, of Bucyrus, step-mother of G. A. and L. A. Gelbaugh, of this city, who died suddenly of heart trouble, Friday afternoon, while driving home with her husband, from a visit with a son of Mr. Nagel's, was held from the residence this morning at 9 o'clock, and from the Bucyrus Evangelical church at 9:30 o'clock. Burial was made in the Brush Ridge Cemetery.
The deceased, who was over seventy years of age, leaves six step-children by a former marriage with the late Christian Gelbaugh, and five step-children by her marriage with Mr. Nagel." Monday, 9 Dec 1912, Marion Daily Star
"John C. Nelson, 85, a former city employe and a resident here 20 years, died at 5:40 am today at home. He had been in ill health two years. Born Jan 13, 1880 in Jefferson Tp., he was a son of William and Susan Shumaker Nelson [sic]. He was not married.
Surviving are two brothers and two sisters, Jesse of Brandywine and Grover of Bucyrus, Mrs Maude Borts of Bucyrus and Mrs Gertrude Baehr of Toledo. Two bros and a sister are deceased.

Galion- Grover C. Nelson, 83, died at 2:45 pm Wed in Community Hospital where he was admitted Fri following a stroke. For 2 years he has resided with his son, Raymond H. of RR 2, Galion. Before retiring, he had been employed by NYCentral Railroad in its Bucyrus shops.
Born May 4, 1885 in Crawford Co., he was the son of William and Susan Shumaker Nelson. He married Myrtle Thomand and his later marriage was to Helen Butler who died in 1955.
Surviving besides his son are 3 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and a brother, Jesse of Brandywine. 3 brothers and 3 sisters are deceased.... Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery..." Marion Star, 9 May 1968
"BUCYRUS- Elmer G. Nelson, 62, of near North Robinson, died at 1 pm Monday at his home in Jefferson Tp. He had been ill a week.
Born Mar 6, 1887, the son of William and Susanna Shoemaker Nelson, he lived in Jefferson Tp all his life. He was a farmer. He was a member of the Windfall Reformed Church of near North Robinson.
Mr Nelson is survived by 4 brothers and 3 sisters, John Nelson of Galion, Charles G. Nelson of North Robinson, Grover C. Nelson of Brandywine, and Mrs Gertrude Baehr of Toledo, Mrs Maude Morts [sic] of Bucyrus, and Mrs Eberta Clark of Sulphur Springs.

"Bucyrus- Funeral services were held this afternoon for Mrs Lena Nelson, 40, who died at her home in Jefferson Tp. Sat following a long illness of toberculosis. Rev T. O. Copus was in charged of the services. Interment was made in Oakwood.

"Galion-- Lowell Ness of Galion, husband of Ruth Reynolds Ness, died at 10:30 pm Friday in the Rosewood Manor Nursing Home here.
A member of the First Lutheran Church, he was well-known as a church tenor vocalist.
He was retired after farming south of Galion for many years.
Surviving besides his widow are two sons, Robert of Tampa, Fla., an Richard of Galion, a daughter, Mrs William MacAdam of Galion; grandchildren; three brothers... and a sister..." Marion Star, 17 May 1969
"Galion-- Thomas Noblit, 82, of Galion died at 3:45 am today in the Galion Comm Hosp. He had been ill three years. A former Erie railroad conductor, he was employed by the road 43 years and retired in 1952.
Born July 5, 1877 in Crawford County, he was a son of Philip and Hannah Ellen Wickizer Noblit. On June 10, 1905, he married Margaret Snyder.
Surviving are his widow, his daughter, Mrs Clayton Kreps of Galion, 2 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and a brother Charles Noblit of Struthers. 3 sisters and 4 bros. preceded him in death.

"Lloyd L. Orewiler, 79, of 1169 Robinhood Dr., suffered a fatal heart attack while shoveling snow at his residence Thursday night. He was dead upon arrival at Community Hospital at 6:30 pm.
Mr Orewiler was a lifelong Crawford County resident. He was born May 16, 1892, a son of Homer S. and Catherine Ream Orewiler.
On Aug 18, 1915 he married Marie Kepler. She died Nov 9, 1966. He married Lucille Frost Houseburg on Nov 28, 1968 and she survives.
Also surviving are a son, Robert L. Orewiler of Galion; 2 stepsons....8 grandchildren and 2 sisters...
He was a employe [sic] and former manager of the Walter Hardware Store during a 51 year career there and also worked three years at the Fisher Hardware store. He retired 2 years ago.
Mr Orewiler was a member of the First United Methodist Church and of its Keystone Class. He was a Mason.

"Galion- Interment will be made in Fairview Cemetery for the remains of Mrs Georgia Shumaker Philp, who died Aug 5 in Panama City, Fla. Services were held there and the body was cremated.
Mrs Philip [sic] was born in Galion on the Shumaker homestead on Fairview Ave., which she owned at the time of her death. She was a daughter of William and Samantha Whitman Shumaker. She was graduated from Galion High School in 1904 [sic] and was married to George J. Philp who preceded her in death.
Mrs Philp and her husband lived in Pennsylvania and Flint, Mich., and came to Galion in 1926. They moved to Panama City in the 1930s.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs Forace [sic] F. Holland of Panama City, and 2 grandchildren." Marion Star, 12 Aug 1969
