Born on the farm on which he died, Mr. Eckstein was a member of the St. Paul's church in Vernon Twp. Surviving are his wife, Ethel; a daughter, Mabel; two sons Harmon and Ross, all at home; four brothers, Charles, John, Grover and Wester, and two sisters, Mrs. J. M. Johnson, Mrs. J. W. Huber, all residing nearby. Funeral services wil lbe held at St. Paul's church, Vernon twp. Rev. W. L. Magard will officiate, and burial will be in the parish cemetery." His chest was crushed when he was caught between his truck and a loading dock. He was employed by the Bissman Co. of Mansfield going to Mansfield from bucyrus 13 yrs ago to take a job as truck driver for the company. Born at North Robinson, he was a son of James and Tabitha Bogan Eicher. He was not married. Surviving are sistes, Mrs Katherine McGee of Galion, Mrs Charlotte Larson of Columbus, and Mrs Flo Cooper of Washington DC. Four sisters preceded him in death... The Rev. M. P. �Galion, Nov 12. Mrs. Elizabeth Ernsberger, 73, died Friday evening at the Ware residence, 535 South Pierce Street, after an illness of five years. Complications caused death. She was born July 18, 1859, in Lanchester [sic], Pa, and married to Chris Ernsberger Sept 5, 1923. Her husband survives, together with a son, Laurence Gelbaugh of Chicago. Nine brothers preceded her in death. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Mr. and Mrs. Ernsberger were formerly of Pontiac, Mich, and the past year had lived on a farm nine miles east of Galion. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:30 pm at the Volk funeral home with Rev J. Winters officiating. Burial will be in Ontario Cemetery. "J. W. Errett, a young Erie railroad brakeman, was fatally injured Thursday noon at Pottersburg, a small station fifteen miles west of Richwood, while in the discharge of his duties, both his feet being cut off. Young Errett was given immediate attention and then put on his train and started for the hospital at Marion, but he became too weak from the loss of blood and was taken off the train at Richwood where he died at 1 o'clock Friday morning. "Mrs Margaret Amelia Eusey, 71, of three miles south of Galion, died at 7:30 pm Monday in Galion City Hospital. She had been in ill health 14 mos. and bedfast for the last week. She was born Aug 16, 1876 in Crestline, and was married Dec 25, 1895 in North Robinson to Frank Eusey, who survives. She was a life-long resident of this community. Surviving with the husband are these children, William of Shelby, Mrs Lee Garverick of Crestline, Rolland and Charles of Galion, Raymond of Bucyrus, Mrs Mahlon Breidling of Ida, Mich., John of North Robinson, Mrs Raymond Mauck of Galion, a sister, Mrs Ralph Feld of Edison, and two brothers, Joseph Bogan and Ivan Bogan of North Robinson.... burial in the Windfall Cemetery northwest of Galion...." "Galion-- Rolland V. Eusey, 64, of Galion was dead on arrival at Comm Hosp at 12:15 Wed after suffering a heart attack. He was stricken while at work in the Penn Central Railroad Co. freight yards. For 30 years, he had been a railroad hostler. Born April 23, 1907 in North Robinson, he was a son of Benjamin and Margaret Bogan Eusey. He married Gladys Feick who died in 1951. Mrs Dortha Mullennix Eusey, whom he married in 1954, is his widow. Surviving children are Richard of Galion, Lowell of Charleston, WV, Mrs Richard (Dorothy) Wiggins and Mrs Kenneth (Linda) Grasley of Galion, Carolyn of Crestline, and Janet and Pauline at home. His stepchildren are.... There are five grandchildren and nine stepgrandchildren. Three sisters, Mrs Annetta Garverick of Marysville, Mich, Mrs Mahlon (Irene) Breidling of Ida, Mich, and Mrs Raymond (Margaret) Mauck of Iberia and three brothers, Raymond of Galion, John of North Robinson and Charles of Sarasota, Fl also survive. "Asa Evans, 68, of 499 Thompson St., died at 6am today at home. He was ill five years. For 30 years he was a welder for the Maron Power Shovel Co. [sic]. Born June 9, 1888 in Marion, he was a son of Daniel S. and Sarah J. Jones Evans, natives of Aberdier, Wales. Sep 22, 1909, in Marion, he married Nellie Caskey who died here March 8, 1949. He was a member of Lee St. Presbyterian Church. Surviving are two daughters, Miss Florence R. Evans of the Thompson St address and Mrs Isabelle Marie Schuster of Mansfield, three sons, Charles Evans, also of Thompson St., Berlin Evans of 238 Chase St., and Vernon Evans of 1087 E. <"Bucyrus- Services will be held at 2pm Friday in the Wise funeral home for Mrs. Mary L. Faulkner 100, who died shortly before noon Wed in her home at 308 West Rennselaer St. Her pastor, Rev. M. P. Paetznick, St Paul's Lutheran church minister, will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery. Mrs. Faulkner, who observed her 100th birthday Nov 20, had been in failing health several months and had been bedfast three months. Bucyrus' only centenarian, she lived to see the prediction she made on her 99th birthday anniversary come true. At that time she said she would still 'be around' to observe her centennial anniversary. A lifelong Crawford County resident, Mrs. Faulkner was the former Miss Louise Knisely. Her husband, Edward R. Faulkner, a Civil War veteran, died in 1910. Three sons and a daughter preceded her in death. She was the mother of J. E. 'Bud' Faulkner, prominent Bucyrus livestock buyer, who died in January 1949. Surviving are a grandson, John of Bucyrus, a graddaughter Mrs Horace F Place of Galion, three great-grandchildren, Mary Jo Faulkner of Bucyrus, Connie Place and Mrs William Richardson, both of Galion and a great-great granddaughter, Beth, 18 month old daughter of the Richardsons." A church official and custodian, he was employed additionally as Col Crawford School custodian. Born Nov 10, 1913 in Crawford Co., he was a son of Philip G. and Mary E. Eckstein Feik. In 1931, he was graduated from Tiro HS. He was a member of the consistory of St John Church and the St John Brotherhood. Surviving are his widow, Mabel I. Schulze Feik; four daughters, Mrs Rose Mary Weyland of Upper Sandusky, Mrs Beverly Martin of RR2, Bucyrus, Mrs Emma Lee Lupis of Piedmont WV, and Patricia at home, 7 grandchildren....
