Approximately 4 years ago, attending the Winter NAMM convention in Anaheim, CA, I ran across the Unigrip booth. Being a drummer, I always look to find new products that enhance my drumming abilities and technique. I have tried many sticks, as there is a plethora of stick companies represented at NAMM every year. Unigrip was different.
Unigrip sticks are very unique in as they have slip grips. This grip is made of a special mix of rubber and plastic and is molded on a Unigrip traditional stick, that makes it virtually impossible to lose when you want to show off with some 2-handed twirling. Being a hard-hitting rock drummer, I tend to fling my share of sticks, and with Unigrips, I have quit losing beats due to losing my grip. My arms and wrists seem to last longer playing and I have found they have increased my speed too.
They are the BOMB!
I highly recommend these sticks to drummers of all types, jazz, rock, and country and especially to school students in marching bands. I have endorsed this product to all parents who have kids interested in drumming, as they are not privileged to the NAMM shows.
