Title: Eye, before I By: Ronnie Sidney Summer 2005 Eyes wide open the moment I see you. As I pause, our eyes begin to lock into a stare. I want to ask, What are you looking for ? Depth… When you look into my eyes, do you see more ? Shortsighted but yet look afar. I can only tell you what I see. I see your light exuding through my cornea, Blinding all the ills polluting my mind, Leaving me motionless. Just staring into your eyes, lost in your maze, guided by your gaze. I want to blink but I can’t. You, catching glimpses of me through your periphery. And I can’t budge. Your energy field’s intense. Proximity creating a larger presence, Converging our psychic fields, I can’t control the urge… To close my eyes and kiss you. I kiss you again.. This time even longer… Feel like I seen you before, I can tell by the pigmentation of your eyes and skin. See, I see Isis in your Iris. The wonders of melanin. It is as if the creator created all of you from the same pen. My eyes sense both the content of your character and the color of your skin. Feelings hard to verbalize, But you always seem to summarize my guise. It’s hard to look at you eye to eye, when you’re so easy on the eyes. But you still got my undivided attention, all three eyes watching your every move. I wish you could be me and see you, See yourself getting excited, Eyes closed, mind in some exotic realm. My…what a sight to see. I see myself not wanting to let you see, only letting you receive. In those dreamy eyes of yours, I see vision… I see intelligence… I see beauty… I see kinship.. I see warmth… I see love… I see pain… I see eyes. I see a reflection. I see a mirror image of me. So when I ask, do you see more when you look into my eyes, Understand, That it’s because I see so much more when I look into yours.
