We ain't being treated equal By: Ronnie Sidney a.k.a Jeff Sticks December 2003 This poem was inspired by an even that happened sometime back. Its dedicated toall my black people in oppressive situations rather that be in the streets or in jail. We gotta rise up and walk or we ain't never gone be treated equal. You know the white man evil, we ain't never been equal. Slavery was are prequel, he mastered our people. He turned us into savages, conditioned to be instinctual. Our ambitions died at birth, but the shackles on are soul were existential. Conceived with a pitchfork and shovel, to uncover Americas potential. Now we buy platinum chains, and show them off as mementos. Turned us against our brethren, to suppress any insurrections. Killed the strong black men, to teach the others a lesson. Raped our black women, who only had their kids for protection. But slavery called her oldest boys, without her mutual concession. Still lynched by Willie Lynch, Bill O'Reily you don't have a hint dude. He don't understand he just a puppet, for middle white America to vent through. White man the judge and Jury, where the hell is our protection. Cops suppose to serve and protect, then why he giving my vehicle inspections. Give us projects and public housing, But now you want get us off your land. So you pin us with bogus charges, just to get us off your hands. Send us to public schools, dependent on welfare and meal plans. Only thing school teach you, is that God's destiny is manifested through the white man. After the Civil Rights era, ain't hardly nothing done changed. Except Affirmative action helped benefit white women, and only loosened our chains. But at least we dominate the sports arena, and black entertainment we can relate to. Make a buffoon of ourselves and culture, for 15 minutes of coonery cable. Corporations playahatin, buying up all the newspapers and tv stations. The black images they project, are those of their own creation. Went from Slaves to revolutionaries, now we just playas and thugs. Trying to pimp the system, by killing our people with drugs. Went from human capital, to 3/4ths a man. Now Uncle Sam, use us to fight his wars in Japan. Fuck that, white man you forcing my hand. No I don't understand, and I won't go along with your plans. Government enacts laws everyday, why we pass time in bed. Care more about our clothes, than you do about getting ahead They use to withhold books from us, but now we got them at our disposal. But mistrals shows got us programed, to think libraries are only places that nerds go. We the true minority, not China Man and Asian Indians. The diaspora displaced us, they only here to profit off our ignorance. Keep this rhyme in mind, next time you treated unfairly. Even the black man will cheat you, because greed is distributed fairly. Next time you loose a tooth, don't wait on money from the fairy. Get knowledge and know how, and ignore the propaganda you hear on the airwaves.
